Cloud Spots announces that Milkweed has had kits, and Moth Flight guesses that Leaf is the father. Pink Eyes complains about kit-watching Apple Blossom and Snail Shell, mentioning they won't need his help anymore. Cloud Spots mentions that Morning Fire, along with her siblings Shivering Rose and Hazel Burrow will need Pink Eyes' help when they are big enough to leave their den. Moth Flight asks if Morning Fire and the two other kits mentioned are Milkweed's kits and Cloud Spots confirms it, asking if she wants to see them.

Cloud Spots asks Milkweed if Moth Flight and Micah can see her kits and Milkweed gladly says yes. Three kits are squirming at Milkweed's belly, eyes still closed. The queen introduces her kits, mentioning that Morning Fire and Shivering Rose are always stealing Hazel Burrow's milk. Morning Fire moves closer to her mother's belly, her fur blending into the shadows. Cloud Spots looks at the kits as the suckle happily, and Moth Flight thanks Milkweed for letting her see her kits.

When Thunderstar picks up Blue Whisker because she has to join ThunderClan, Thunderstar mentions that she can share a nest with Milkweed's kits as they are not much older than Blue Whisker. Thunderstar warns that they fidget like rabbits in a burrow though.

Thunderstar's Echo

While looking for his mate, Violet Dawn, Thunderstar looks around the clearing from the entrance to his den. He notes Morning Fire playing with her brother, Hazel Burrow, in the center of the clearing.
