Snipe is a ginger-brown and black tom with a lighter brown underside and muzzle, light orange eyes, and torn ears. He has a black collar, which is studded with teeth and claws.

Snipe was a BloodClan cat that served under Scourge's, Claw's, Fury's, and later Snake and Ice's leaderships. He participated in the battle against ThunderClan, and later became a frequent tormentor of the the forest Clan. Following the final defeat of BloodClan, he and the other Twolegplace rogues drive Jumper and Hoot from their territory.

Snipe is a BloodClan cat that participates in the battle against ThunderClan, under the leadership of Fury. He and Brick mock Graystripe and advance on him, but are stopped by Brambleclaw, who cuffs Snipe around the ears and forces him off balance.

A Clan in Need

Snipe is one of the BloodClan cats that steal from ThunderClan hunting patrols. On one occasion, he leads a group of BloodClan cats to attack the Clan's warriors, thanking them for their hard work. While fighting, he recognizes Barley among them and calls out to the tom. When ThunderClan reinforcements arrive, Snipe orders his cats to retreat with their prey.

Barley later talks to Firestar about BloodClan and reflects that Snipe was once one of Scourge's closest guards. Later, Snipe guards the BloodClan hideout when Mitzi takes Barley and Ravenpaw to find the rogue cats. He attempts to defend his leaders, Snake and Ice, from the ThunderClan warriors that ambush them at night. Snipe is outraged when Snake and Ice turn the blame their followers, leading the rest of the rogues in chasing the former leaders from the hideout.
