Why were the wiki forums moved to proboards? I understand that you may not have wanted random chatter about the warriors series here on the wiki, but then why not just make a rule about it? Moving the forums has caused a lot of problems, because not many users are willing to create a separate account just to talk on the forums, and because of this I believe a lot of potentially useful discussion has been left unsaid. I propose that we re-open discussions on the wiki's forums, with rules in place to make sure only discussion about the wiki itself is posted. (Random chatter can be moved to the official warriors forums at forums.warriorcats.com)

Let me know what you think. --Ajedi32 16:46, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

When we have the forums here they caused nothing but confusion because the wiki format is simply not suited to being used as one. Discussions are better held via the blogs here, so the discussions are not shut down completely. We aren't loosing users we want if they just want to chatter. Discussions that fulfill the concept of essays are permitted in blogs.  Kitsufox  Den/CoSC 16:50, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah blogs are fine for that until you start poking your nose and finding flaws in them! It seems that you are more intent on destroying blogs then promotiong them even if there is only something tiny wrong with them! - 24.168.53.220

So, if I wanted to make a suggestion on a change in policy or something I would do it where? Nobody even goes to the proboard forums, and we aren't supposed to use the forums on the wiki here. Just tell the people who want to post random chatter to move the discussion to the official warriors forums and let us go back to using the wiki forums the way they were supposed to be used. There is no reason to use a less efficient system for discussions when we have the blog system. There is no reason to reopen the random chatter forum when discussions are permitted on blogs so long as the starting post fits the Essay Criteria and posts continue to show thought and consideration. IE: An actual intelligent conversation is happening. The forum itself is currently used to discuss changed to policy and the like. We have a Discussion Area Subforum in the Wiki operations section specifically for discussion of wiki related topics. The Random Chatter section was never used for wiki operations.  Kitsufox  Den/CoSC 15:54, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
