"You need to drink. [...] My name is Myler, and this is my barn. You went to sleep so quickly last night that I didn't have time to introduce myself. How are you feeling?"
— Myler caring for Mapleshade in Mapleshade's Vengeance, chapter 5

Myler is a small[1] black-and-white tom.[2]

In Mapleshade's Vengeance, Mapleshade wakes up to see a small black-and-white cat standing over her. The cat introduces himself as Myler, and tells her that he could care for her. Mapleshade feels disgusted at the thought of being cared for by a kittypet, so she abruptly leaves the farm without talking to the kittypet. After Mapleshade kills Appledusk and faints, she wakes up in Myler's barn. Once again, Myler tells Mapleshade that he is there to tend to her, again. He presses himself against her, unflinching at the touch of her blood soaked fur.

Myler is horrified by the bleeding and asks Mapleshade if Clan cats had done this to her. When she nods in reply, Myler is exasperated, saying the Clan cats will never get rid of their wild, bloody ways. Mapleshade hisses that she doesn't need Myler's help. Myler tells her that he thinks she is wrong, and walks away, and doesn't return again.
