History

In the Novellas

Mapleshade's Vengeance

When Frecklewish attacks Mapleshade because of her disloyalty, Seedpelt is seen with Bloomheart as they haul Frecklewish away from Mapleshade, and the tortoiseshell staggers to her paws.

Later, when Frecklewish is attacked by an adder, Seedpelt, Bloomheart, and Thrushtalon race over and help the bitten warrior. Bloomheart orders them to keep watch for other snakes. Then he tells Seedpelt to fetch some moss for Frecklewish, so that they could wash the venom out of her eyes.

Pinestar's Choice

Seedpelt is now an elder. Pinepaw dabs moss soaked in mouse bile onto his pelt but Seedpelt doesn’t seem to notice the stench. He grunts when the bile sinks to his skin to the tick on his belly, then wriggles into his nest so Pinepaw can apply more. Pinepaw pops a tick and it jerks free from the elder’s skin. Seedpelt sits up, thanking the apprentice and commenting it feel a lot better. He licks at the blood that has welled from where the tick was removed.

Interesting Facts

• He is not the same cat that appears in Firestar's Quest.

Mistakes

• He was mistakenly called Seedwhisker.
• He was mistakenly called a gray she-cat, although this was revealed to have been a mix-up with Seedpelt from Firestar's Quest.
