Why Image Restrictions?
It says:
Signatures should not contain images that are not expressly mentioned as an exception.

Well, I didn't write the policy, but I can take a good guess as to the reasoning behind it. Images disrupt the flow of the page a bit, and also, if they get deleted, we end up with loads of redlinks everywhere the person signed. - Late, but better than not at all. Insane has answered the question exactly. I wrote the original version of the policy, and the reasons insane quoted as the exact reasons for including the ban. There's also a third reason: Respect for those with dialup. People with dialup, for whom every image just drags their load-times even longer, deserve respect to. Keeping images out of signatures helps keep non-essential images from preventing them from having fair usability where talk pages are concerned. Kitsufox Den/CoSC 17:51, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
Help?
Sorry, I don't know where else to post this. I've been trying to fix our signiture so it matches the rules by linking back to our talk page, but when I put it in the signiture box, it cuts off the end. If I don't click custom signiture, it shows up as coding. If I do click custom signiture, it says invalid raw signiture because the end is cut off. I don't see why it would be too long, as I've seen users with much more coding then ours have, and their signitures work fine.
Also, how do you create a sub page?

Click here to make your sig page, and put all the code there - you shouldn't have any length issues. Then in your sig box (with custom signatures checked) put {{Nosubst|User:Mosswisker&Stealthfire/Sig}} and your signature should work fine :) insaneular 18:13, August 8, 2010 (UTC)
Question about Subpages

Preformated Time/Date
I fixed my siggie so it matches the Policy, but why does it show the date and time in preformatted coding? See below

- If you sign with only three tildes you don't get a date and time. Which you want. If you look at your signature above, you do, in fact, have a time and date. This is a good thing. This is something you want. Please be sure to include the fourth tilde so that your signature includes a time and date. It's nice to know when someone said something and helps avoid confusion like re-punishing a person for something they've already been talked to about, etc. Kitsufox Den/CoSC 17:47, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Something I saw

Expired Image Link?

User and talk page links
Can we add in a new rule that, the links to your talk and user page have to be at least 3 chararters/one word long? I can't get over the frustration I feel when people (not mentioning names) have a word and each letter represents a friend and there's only one/2 characters representing their own talk/user page and then it takes 5 minutes to aim your cursor to get to their userpage -_- or is that just me? Changing Signatures
It says:
Signatures should not be changed excessively often. If you completely change your signature's look much more than once a month then the sysops will speak with you.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me in the least if you change your signature multiple times in a month (I do =/). I think some of the stuff needs to be tweaked anyways- sometimes you find the colors don't go with one another, or you change it to something else. It's just text, and imho, I don't think we should limit that. —Jayce(19:29, 8/13/2014)
