Basic Warrior

File:Step 2.png Step 1- Fill in the cat with the color that you choose.

File:Step 3.png Step 2- Add eye color and ear pink.

File:Step 4.png Step 3- Put the burn tool size to 18, and the exposure to 19, and add shading to the back.

File:Step 5.png Step 4- Using the same settings as step 3, run the burn tool along the cats chest.

File:Step 6.png Step 5- Using the same settings as step3, run the burn tool along the cats haunch and down to its paws.

File:Step 7.png Step 6- Using the same settings as step 3, run the burn tool along the bottom of the cats tail.

File:Step 8.png Step 7- Using the same settings as step 3, run the burn tool from the ear, straight. Then shade the back ear.

File:Step 9.png Step 8- Setting the size to 10, shade the front paw that is farthest away, and the back paw that is farthest away.

File:Step 10.png Step 9- Add some more shading (if wanted) and blur all the shading.

File:Step 11.png Step 10- Add highlights, size 25 and exposure 12. (You can also lighten the shaded paws.)

Regular tortoiseshell, like on Redtail.

File:Step 3- tortie.png Step 2- Draw orange-brown patches, and orange patches.

File:Step 4- tortie.png Step 3- Fill them in and blur them very well.

File:Step 5 tortie.png Step 4- Set the smudge tool on size 6 and strength 50 and stretch in ragged motion along the patches. (This step is optional.)

You can also do a cat like Larksong, or Ivytail (SC) by, at STEP 3, smudging the flecks instead of blurring them. File:Step 6 tortie3 other.png

Example, Ashfur

File:Step 2 f.png Step 2- Using the burn tool, put the size on 8 and the exposure on 39. Dot a few dots across the cats body.

File:Step 3 f.png Step 3- Still using the burn tool, put the size on 11 and the exposure on 78. Dot across the body.

File:Step 4 f.png Step 4- Using the dodge tool, put the size on 13 and the exposure on 39. Dot across the body.

File:Step 6 f.png Step 6- Add eye color, ear pink, and shadings.

Mottled

File:Step 1 m.png Step 1- Fill in your cat.

File:Step 2 m.png Step 2- Select a color darker than your current. Draw a few spots on the back.

File:Step 3 m.png Step 3- Add some lighter colored spots.

File:Step 4 m.png Step 4- Blur them well.

File:Step 5 m.png Step 5- Add eye color, ear pink, and shading.
