File:Step 2.png Step 1- Fill in the cat with the color that you choose.
File:Step 3.png Step 2- Add eye color and ear pink.
File:Step 4.png Step 3- Put the burn tool size to 18, and the exposure to 19, and add shading to the back.
File:Step 5.png Step 4- Using the same settings as step 3, run the burn tool along the cats chest.
File:Step 6.png Step 5- Using the same settings as step3, run the burn tool along the cats haunch and down to its paws.
File:Step 7.png Step 6- Using the same settings as step 3, run the burn tool along the bottom of the cats tail.
File:Step 8.png Step 7- Using the same settings as step 3, run the burn tool from the ear, straight. Then shade the back ear.
File:Step 9.png Step 8- Setting the size to 10, shade the front paw that is farthest away, and the back paw that is farthest away.

Regular tortoiseshell, like on Redtail.

File:Step 5 tortie.png Step 4- Set the smudge tool on size 6 and strength 50 and stretch in ragged motion along the patches. (This step is optional.)

File:Step 2 f.png Step 2- Using the burn tool, put the size on 8 and the exposure on 39. Dot a few dots across the cats body.

File:Step 4 f.png Step 4- Using the dodge tool, put the size on 13 and the exposure on 39. Dot across the body.
