Do not read unless you've already read book 6 of the Omen of the Stars series, if the template directly above didn't warn you.
Sorry about the Doctor Who reference in the title. Anyways, here are my complaints about The Last Hope. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but here were the things I didn't like. If you feel like seeing a mad man rant, read on. If you want some really serious discussion, do so anyway, but don't take me seriously.
First of all, the final battle. It just dragged on
And on. It took up something like the last 22% of the book if you exclude the Adventure Game bit. This could've been a bit shorter. Not as anticlimactic as the ending of the New Prophecy series (which I actually found really anticlimactic for the buildup…

The end of the stars draws near. Three must become four, to battle the darkness that lasts forever.
We know the three. Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing. However, it's a large topic of speculation who the fourth is. It's no secret that, so far, the main series (or whatever the plural of series is, I think it's just series) have been about Firestar's reign. Many think he'll die. Alright. Remember the group of rats from Firestar's Quest? I'll refer to that as the Rat entity, due to the fact that it acts like one creature. So, I've been puzzling over its formation. As we know, it was controlled by one rat, and the others seemed to obey it. Firestar killed it, causing the group to break up. So what motivation did the other rats have for following that one rat's orders? It couldn't be threat, the others could easily overpower it. Also, how did it come together in the first place? Any ideas?Read more >
I've only read up until the end of Book 3: Night Whispers so far, but I've still got a prediction or two for this book. (Please excuse me if I accidentally call Dovewing Dovepaw once or twice; I'm not quite at the point where she receives her Warrior name, so I'm still thinking of her as Dovepaw.)
I'm guessing a little of this will be a little skew cos of a little missing information, but I have a feeling at least this will happen. First of all, we know the Dark Forest is rising. StarClan is powerless to help. What'll happen? Let's start with the as of yet not (fully) realized prophecies. I excluded a couple, but here are the ones I see as incredibly major.
There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paw…
