...in the world would you even suggest tweaking Wing's PH without the source file. You weren't around when I did that image, but a lot of mine from 2012 were extremely sloppy. o.O like, I know you don't want it redone, but I can't even begin to understand how I'd go about tweaking that- I'm no Breezey. No, I'm not trying to get you to change your mind, but, like I'm trying to understand where you're coming from. o.o —jayce Reveℓation 16:38, 5/23/2014
Because I'm utterly confused as to why I'd get shot down for nominating one of my own images, knowing I can do better, yet everyone else can nominate and they pretty much always pass for the same, if not less reasons, when a good 95% of those images look/ed about ten times better than Wing's PH. Idk, it's not a huge deal- I just had a crappy morning and it's more of a rant than anything and it's not against you. =P —jayce Reveℓation 16:45, 5/23/2014
Okay, here are Scorchwind's colors + opacities;

Pale parts - #f1d5b1 on screen, with 87.5% opacity
Shading - #360f00 on multiply, with 100% opacity
Earpink - #e3bdbd on normal, with 84.3% opacity
Queen pages and cites
'ello, Duck. I figure you can answer this for me. When it comes to the queen page, and the list of queens/their mates/kits/ect, what exactly needs to be cited?? I mean, I went through and added a few cites and added cite tags for other ones, but I really have no idea what else needs to be cited? Is it the mother, father, and the kits that need to be cited if there are names....? Help a confused snowman out, please. ;-; —jayce Reveℓation 20:06, 6/10/2014
Only because I couldn't think of a heading. Do you think we should revise the chat mod qualifications for all future nominees to include the mainspace??? I mean, we can't just add it, but we could hold a discussion if you're serious about cracking down on the mainspace thing. o.o —jayce Reveℓation 23:04, 6/11/2014
Thank you Duck! I like working on the book pages and PCA isn't my thing, so Project Books has been one of my favorite things to help on this wiki. I really do like working on them, even if I'm not that fast. Bird Talk ● Nominations 04:40, June 15, 2014 (UTC)
It's not a problem! Sadly, with the fact that I have a very active mother who is always getting me to go everywhere with her, among work that I need to get done every day, I don't think I would be able to find the time to join any of the projects at the moment, although it does seem like a lot of fun! Also, I was going to ask Jayce about this, but I figure I'll ask you here. On the Loner page, there are a lot of cats who were not called loners in those books, but instead rogues, such as Sasha and Yellowfang, Boulder never appeared in Rising Storm, according to the HarperCollins browse inside, and Twig and Pricklenose were called rogues by Skywatcher, among others I've come across, and Sasha isn't even cited as a loner on her page, nor are the others listed at loners. Shall I remove those and try to find cites elsewhere, since they were not considered loners in those particular books, or just leave them? Sunpath (talk) 23:23, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
All right, I got the rest and removed those that didn't belong, though I couldn't get the T&S, RP and SoC ones due to the fact I don't have them and nor does my library. Sunpath (talk) 02:35, June 17, 2014 (UTC)
Have a mini-wall, courtesy of Jayce:
Why not just go all out? I mean, if it's a list of all names, I think we could incorporate the Tribe and Ancient names in there somewhere, since the first parts of their names are shared with Clan cats...and even so, why exclude the Ancients and Tribe? If we're gonna do it, we could probably do it right and just include every piece of information about naming we can get.
See, that's part of the reason I said it ended up as a suggestion to overhaul the Cat Names page. I think there's a lot more that could be cited, like the things in this section, to start. I've noticed we also have pages for warrior ceremonies and changing names, and quite honestly, both of them seem very..short, for lack of a better word. Since they both are a huge aspect revolving around names, perhaps we could tweak them and link them to the Names page (the one we have, not the one I just came up with), and elaborate on pretty much everything and anything we see? Hell, we could even merge the pages, or just add the information to the Names page, since virtues and getting name changes and things like that are all part of the naming process.
I'd gladly comb through books to find every piece of information I can, and it's about time the other articles and projects get some attention. Plus, at the rate we're going (with you, me, Beebs, Sunpath, and Birdqueen all working on that page), we could get it going and finished in no time at all.
Well, I think there should be some mention of their names, as they do have their own process and methods of naming. Why should we exclude a group, based on how they name their kin? Perhaps we could have a different section and elaborate on that? I dunno, I think it's a good idea... Also, when you saw it, I had updated the template. I had added the misc section and the other groups as well. —jayce Reveℓation 23:46, 6/17/2014
Well, the Tribe (at least the modern one) names their kits after the first thing a mother sees. So, we could separate them by animal related names (like Brook Where Small Fish Swim), nature related names (like Snow Falling on Stones), and other things like that...idk, it's just an idea. <shrugs> —jayce Reveℓation 00:23, 6/18/2014
Another section would be fine with me, I think. They're not related to Clan names, no, but I think I added one and we just went with it. Tried to remove it and apparently it got added back in. I'm actually really glad that page got started as quick as it did. o.o Like, everyone helped and it didn't even take a day to finish the majority of the character list. As for the template, feel free to tweak it as you wish- I made it for PW to suit them, and if things need to be tweaked, then they need to be tweaked, no big deal. ^^ —jayce Reveℓation 00:30, 6/18/2014
Well, I added them, but I'm not quite sure how to cite them. Judging by their names, it's obvious that they fit into either a nature-related name, or an animal-related name, and then I have subgroups from there (like weather, plants, earth, avians [sounds better than birds], and aquarian [fish and other water-related things])...but if you have a better way to sort them, please go ahead and change it up. Also here's an advanced welcome to the 10k edit club. =P —jayce Reveℓation 02:20, 6/18/2014
Ooh, what's the idea? I'm curious as to what it is. ...also wtf is Scree's name even supposed to be related to???? Like, the screeing of an animal or something???? 'cause I seriously have no idea. —jayce Reveℓation 02:24, 6/18/2014
Okay, so that makes his name earth-related, then. Also, I love that idea and/ look, we can reference them. 8D I seriously think making the two of us both 'ops was probably one of the best ideas, if you ask me. We can get so much more done and yay for collaboration. —jayce Reveℓation 02:32, 6/18/2014
Well, I think the subpage that you, me, Beebs, Sunpath, and Birdqueen are working on now would probably count. We've all done our fair share, and once it's moved, I think it would count as a collab nomination.... It would be the only fair way to assure everyone gets credit, since the history of my subpage shows that. =P Speaking of, I seriously think you can move it if you want to, since everything's basically done. Just keep the redirect to my subpage for page history reasons. —jayce Reveℓation 02:39, 6/18/2014
Actually, I don't believe I was out of line. Out of line would be promoting Ferk (who is a he, by the way, please do not misgender him), without any support on the nomination whatsoever. Where does it say that the abstain counts as a null? I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. I would absolutely love to see where it says this, because I looked and found nothing. Why should the vote automatically go to no because there was a tie? I'm sorry, but I fail to see your logic, and in fact, I don't think neither of us should have the final say, since I voted yes, and you voted no. If anything, we should call in a third party to decide the nomination results, since we're obviously not on the same side. It should not automatically be deemed unsuccessful because of a tie. And in fact, it never once says anything in those rules about the endorsement not counting. I disagree with your decision, and I don't think your judgement should be final. Shall we ask Kitsu to make the final call, since it's clear you and I are on two different sides? Burden of proof should not fall on me based on something that you also have no evidence to claim. We've never had this situation arise before, so how can you claim that one is correct over the other? —jayce Reveℓation 22:48, 6/19/2014
Well, I actually did just ask Kit, and she says that the vote would result in a stalemate, since there's no majority rule, and I honestly thought the endorsement counted. We can unarchive the vote and extend it another week, which I think is the fair choice. We have other chatmods, so let them vote. Push the vote to the other staff and see what they say- but it's not unsuccessful. —jayce Reveℓation 23:00, 6/19/2014
And it seems I did misunderstand what the endorsement counted for. I mean, you do see where I'm coming from, right? If you're not gonna support the nominee, then why endorse them? I mean, I honestly thought that it counted as a supporting vote. Perhaps we need to make it clear (and that doesn't mean go and edit it blindly, start a discussion) with what does and doesn't count, and stuff like that. 'cause obviously we see two different things. o.O Gotta make it fair for everyone, tbh. —jayce Reveℓation 00:26, 6/20/2014
I don't know... I'm not too keen on an automatic decline. Perhaps base it on the nominee's activity and make an executive administrative decision based on a discussion between the two? It just doesn't seem fair to auto-decline something when it could very well be the fault of inactive staff who didn't see the nomination. —jayce Reveℓation 02:11, 6/20/2014
Nor am I, but an auto-decline, especially if it's because of inactive staff members who failed to vote, isn't very fair in the least. I could understand if all staff voted, but say if it's only like four people, and we have multiple who have yet to vote, it's kinda unfair and basically says that "if you don't get favor early you're pretty much screwed". —jayce Reveℓation 02:18, 6/20/2014
We also owe them a fair vote, and declining it due to lack of staff participation isn't fair in the least. Why punish the nominee based on the actions of the staff who don't pay attention or have gone inactive? I still think an executive decision is a little more fair than automatically declining their RfCM based on something they have no control over. —jayce Reveℓation 03:44, 6/20/2014
And I don't like the auto-decline especially for the fact that 99% of the time, it isn't their fault, and we shouldn't be taking out the inactivity of the staff out on the nominee. The executive decision would be a joint one, not just the decision of you or I (since we're really the only active 'ops and I don't foresee Teldy really coming back anyways). —jayce Reveℓation 04:21, 6/20/2014
Hey and Ducksplash? Can you give me pointers around the Warriors Wiki? I mean, I love Warriors, but I have never been here before, so can you give me pointers of any kind for anything on this Wiki? Thanks, bunches!
Hmmm... good question. O.O oh no you're making me think? Shading first? I think that's the one thing that I work on now that I have problems with. Also, because of the wiki image policy, how do you want to do this? notquiterocketwildbokan 14:08, June 29, 2014 (UTC)
omg this actually looks like a thing Okay, so I tried using 2 layers of black and it didn't look right, so I looked on the tutorial page and it said to use darker color, so I did. It's only one layer of shading, I wasn't sure about 2 because I couldn't really get it shaped right. notquiterocketwildbokan 18:46, June 29, 2014 (UTC)
So, I was thinking...would you object to me tweaking the main colors of the wiki a little bit? I kinda want to get rid of the blindingly white background and replace it with a softer blue color, and darken the main blue we have now... I know it seems kinda abrupt and stuff, but this coloring really hurts my eyes, and Kit tried dulling it to an offwhite and it really hasn't done much justice. I have the my laptop screen on the lowest setting, and I'm still blinded. x.x Basically, I'm asking if you'd be angry with me if I went and changed some of the colors..and darkening them so I can actually edit without harming my eyes???? My eyes are really light-sensitive, and this white actually is starting to take its toll on me to the point I'm not editing as much since my eyes can't take it. —jayce Reveℓation 04:09, 6/30/2014
I kinda tweaked it but my eyes are so tired that I think I need some sleep before I can really play with it and make the colors go with each other more. x.x If you wanna play with it too, go ahead, but also keep in mind that I can't deal with white/offwhite/pale gray because it seriously is starting to damage my eyes. x.x here are the originals so you can color pick and stuff if we need to go back. Although I'd rather not... kinda selfish, I know, and I'm sorry for that, but I'm thinking of my own heath too with this. =P —jayce Reveℓation 04:52, 6/30/2014
That sounds like a good idea, and I'd gladly be part of it. I only didn't edit more since the page is too large for my browser and it freezes unless I do section by section. —jayce Reveℓation 03:28, 7/1/2014
Yes, and I'm going to stop using it. Sometimes I just think PCA goes a little too far with portraying how they feel about certain things and it's pretty much just like "i can't tell if you're annoyed with me or what I'm saying", so I'd rather the "e.e" not be used at all??? I wasn't just talking to you directly. It was moreso all of PCA. It seems that whenever a critique or comment is made, most of them are blown off and passed over using the "artist's choice" card or "it's fine" (browse the approval page and you'll see what I'm talking about), and I'm not sure when everyone decided that their images require no constructive comments (myself included and I'm trying to kill that, although mine's just lazy).
I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that, but it's not just at you, it's at everyone who uses the emotes... it doesn't seem very friendly anymore and I'm not sure whether or not it's at the comment or the users themselves. Perhaps it could have been phrased better, but some of PCA is making me uncomfortable and I really don't know how to speak out about it without being blunt and trying to make a conscious effort to change it.
Idk, artist's choice is getting out of hand and I kinda miss the days where people actually did what they were told without question. I'm talking like pre-2012 PCa, when I was still an apprentice in the project. —jayce Reveℓation 04:21, 7/5/2014
Today is actually the first day I've had off all week (Subway leaves me exhausted and my boss is giving me some odd hours =/), so I'm trying to comment/CBA some stuff right now. I didn't mean for it to be that long of a paragraph, and I'm sorry for that. x.x I honestly haven't seen some of these, and Cloudwhisker's timestamp is so hard to see (I'm gonna ask them to change it so it's viewable), so I didn't see how many days it had gone without comments. Blunt or not, it has to be said, and I see it too. Sometimes mine'll go two or three days without comments, but that's not really phasing me all that badly and I figure someone will say something eventually. I've been in their shoes before- not really all that popular within the project and not skilled enough to obtain an auto-CBA on their first try, so they kinda go on deaf ears, which is why I try and put loads of focus on them, since they're the future of the project. I try and CBA images for all users, but they get broken half the time. —jayce Reveℓation 04:55, 7/5/2014
Mmhmm. There are other images on the tweak list that could be done too. I know I only wanted Rock due to a certain OA of the previous cave-guard image. (It's one of three images he did, and I have claim to it just to be a smartass) Otherwise, I wouldn't have claimed either of Rock's image- I'm just a butt when it comes to matching coloring. Maybe we should limit claims to three or one set if there's more than three images within it. I think some people see a set as one claim, when it should be more than that. And I keep forgetting about the tweak page, I'm sorry ;_; Sometimes I derp and forget it exists since it's so dead nowadays. If I slack again, feel free to come beat me with a stick. One or two SWs probably wouldn't hurt, but at the same time, we also need to be careful we don't go throwing more snowballs. When I said pre-2012, I was talking long before you joined, and before Iceheart became leader. I can't even remember who was leader when I joined... Darkhallows, I think. She was a great and very fair leader- far better than I've ever been tbh. There was a time that PCA was actually quite peaceful.. or at least from what I can remember. Also, that reminds me, I proposed something for Newtspeck's nomination- mind taking a look? I really do not want to see that warrior redone in any way, shape, or form. It's a neat looking image ;-; —jayce Reveℓation 05:21, 7/5/2014
I wasn't chosen for my art, that's for sure. <cackles> I was picked for my help in the formation of the kit system, and the fact that I was one of the only ones who would stand up to Iceheart. Seriously, I couldn't even make a tabby back then. And I honestly have no idea what's so hard about sending a file. I send them if I have them- which I would have sent you the file for Harrykit if I had it- I lost it a couple months back. lmao. And if you feel old, how do you think I feel? 2009 seems like a very long time ago...which it was. —jayce Reveℓation 05:43, 7/5/2014
I am glad to be here on Warriors Wiki. Also how did you get a cat on your page.
I think you mean PC, right? Anyways, sure. I can do my best to try and keep things afloat, but since I'm not familiar with PW, it might be a little less active than PC, since I was a lead there at one point in time. =P —jayce Reveℓation 03:02, 7/11/2014
Not much! Just been super busy with the new boyfriend and volunteer stuff and whatever. Been working camps all week and I spent most of last week at a homeless shelter serving food and coffee. What about you? Leggo 🏈 23:05, July 11, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, new boyfriend. Met him at a volunteer thingy I did a few weeks ago and he's pretty rad. Lives on the other side of Portland, though, so distance is a slight problem. What about you? Leggo 🏈 22:06, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
Okay I'm giving up on making new headings each time bc someone keeps posting below each of my messages. But hey that's pretty rad. Is she cool with it? I'd assume so since you said she knows and you seem to still be talking, lol. Leggo 🏈 04:21, July 13, 2014 (UTC)
Uhh, I tried to change the content drive for PB (this is the first night I've had in the past week where I don't have to work the next day, so I can actually relax and work on wiki things), and apparently you can't add anything but a single page, or something along those lines, and I'm not quite sure how to edit that template to tweak it....any suggestions for adding text instead of links for content drives? I really don't want to go and modify the template without knowing what I'm doing lol —jayce Reveℓation 03:17, 7/23/2014
Yeah, I saw it, but I was tired and went to sleep and forgot to reply. As for the tweak page, that was a friendly reminder to everyone- I've had a couple people come to me about why I haven't been doing anything the past few days, and I felt I should explain. The only active leads right now are Sorrel and I, until Beebs gets back. I'm not sure why Berry and David haven't been doing anything.. I know Berry has issues with her computer right now, and I'm not sure if David has his laptop, or the crappy one that never runs properly. —jayce Reveℓation 16:59, 7/23/2014
If you feel something needs to happen, by all means. You're more than welcome to start discussions on what you think needs changing. While I kinda agree, we would also need to find other leads to make up for the lack of ones we do (or don't) have. I'm not sure where to begin- there's way too much spinning in my head right now with both online and offline issues. I do want to eventually bring up that blasted "artist's choice" crap- I'm getting so tired of seeing "it's fine" all the time from literally everyone. x.x —jayce Reveℓation 17:22, 7/23/2014
The Early Settlers
Hiya Duck! I've starting working on The Early Settlers page, and was wondering if I could tweak part of the format of the page a bit. I would like to rework the headings so they separate the moor and forest cats' sections more clearly (only under the Territories section though). Could I just change it, or would I have to start a discussion on the PW talk page? Bird Talk ● Nominations 00:31, July 24, 2014 (UTC)
all day, every day
I'm not feeling creative so I'm just going to take Skye's subject line ;DBut yeah, could you possibly get on chat tomorrow night? Or if another way is easier...? Atelda 21:45, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, but minor problem is I actually don't know what your email is. Atelda 00:39, July 29, 2014 (UTC)
Ohey Duck. I hope you don't mind that I did PB's leader/deputy/senior warrior list for you. It's a lot easier for me to dig through the history since I know about the approx dates already for the previous leads. It's always been a much smaller project then the others.. please don't shoot me for jumping in- I do like the idea, and there really haven't been many leaders at all...lmao, I've had the most deputies in the history of the project, and I remember when they were all promoted. I do like the list thing. Did you get bored and decide to come up with it? It's a really really good idea. Sorry again for jumping in, but I figured I'd save you a little time. It's basically been me for three years, and before that, it was Whitestorm, Sandy, Bramble, and Kit...although I kinda want to add Helice in as unofficial, since after Whitestorm vanished, he basically took over all technical details and added in all the new members, updated the lists, ect. —jayce Reveℓation 02:25, 7/30/2014
Okay, so I basically did everything in PCA up until the time I became deputy in 2012, and let me tell you, this is fricken madness. I know it's not completely done yet, but it's 3:20 am according to my clock, and if you don't get a chance to finish it, I probably will sometime tomorrow or Thursday. If you want to continue before I get around to it, I left off on the top edit on this page, and I think a couple of those dates might be slightly off. But, yes. This lead list is so long;;;;; I also made smaller notes for users like myself, David, Scarlet, and Beebs. Since I resumed my role after the shutdown and he got renominated without opposition, I find it useless to mention him twice, and I'm gonna do the same thing for Berry. Scarlet was leader before the reset, while Beebs is the current leader...and I assume you can hopefully see where I'm going with this. I have spent the past four hours combing through PCA's main page history for dates and usernames. So with that, I'm gonna do sleep probably. —jayce Reveℓation 07:19, 7/30/2014
p.s. oh, now your edit summary makes a bunch more sense too lols
