[COMPLETE] Spottedleaf2002 - Duplicate Account

Crowfeather01 has admitted to having a duplicate account, Spottedleaf2002, in chat. They stated however that it was because they wanted to change their name, and considering they didn't know there was a name change option, I've allowed them to stay in chat, but banned the Spottedleaf account. Sceenies can be seen here. As I've seen this kind of case happen before, I'm assuming it's alright to make a call like this to only ban one account, but if it's not, apologies. This is a complicated one. If it was just the chat thing, I'd have said "chat ban is enough". But with the on wiki behavior, even though none of the behavior is severe, language completely makes it clear that they knowingly attacked others in full knowlege of it being wrong. While I personally don't consider the original "stupid" to be much of a personal attack, the response is clearly indicative of bad faith and they certainly escalated inappropriately in response... Thanks to a couple users, who will remain unnamed, I have come across this, which is intent to vandalize the wiki, should we try and remove WWiki's lineart from their wiki. As seen here, they have tons of WWiki's lineart, and when asked to remove them, they refused. If that's an attack, then I'd recommend you ban the Wikia Contributor a few answers below that just called a bunch of parents idiots for not wanting their children to read a book on gay cats. That person expressed an opinion. Did they say it nicely? No, but that doesn't mean they aren't entitled to it and don't have the right to speak their mind. It might offend people here on the wiki and may seem like an "attack" to them, but then another person could be offended by the opposite and the comment by the Wikia Contributor is an "attack." I already admitted earlier that perhaps my phrasing was wrong when I did the report. I do think the user should be talked to, but perhaps not banned or anything of the like. It's not political, but more of a personal matter. If need be, all I'm asking is for someone to ask the user in question to possibly watch their language when saying their opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. I was just a little offended with the person's comment, especially when they said it's "wrong". Sorry, but if you have a problem with what that user said, it's your business to go speak with them and ask them to watch their words. It is not the business of the rest of the wiki to discipline them, especially because they haven't actually violated any rules. Due to the fact that Warriors Wiki bans for hate speech, he acctually /did/ break a rule. And it's not just a Warriors Wiki rule, but a Wikia TOS violation. From User Conduct: "Post or transmit any content that is obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive, profane, or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party, or content that contains homophobia, ethnic slurs, religious intolerance, or encourages criminal conduct;". With a more experienced user, I would Perma-ban without question, but this is a bonafied newbie.

I've decided to issue a serious warning from the user (and so much as another sniff of a problem on this front and they'll be gone without further question) and delete the hate speech from the blog.

While it was hate speech and can be considered offensive, it can also be argued that the reaction to it is religiously intolerant, which is also against the Terms of Use for Wikia. The fact that this user used the example of Adam and Eve to explain why homosexuality is wrong, and then the reaction being deleting it as well as warning the user is religious intolerance. Although I believe that it's a good topic to discuss, the blog is open to discussion, and because it's on the pro side, it's bound to have users who disagree. I hesitate to suggest it's deletion, but since it can and does incentive users to post content that contains offensive language and homophobia, perhaps a warning can be implemented on the blog. Removing a statement calling an entier group of people "F-ed Up" is not "religious intolerance". Religious intertolerance would be removing a statement of "I'm christian, and as a christan I belive that homosexuality is wrong.". Just because it contains religious content does not make it untouchable. Vitriol is still virtriol. Not one person in the comments (and I went through the delete log and double checked) took offense to Shawn Tiger's religion. They took offense to the words used, up to and including saying it's fine to disagree but not acceptable to call the group F-ed up. As close as anyone came was asking that he "please not bring religion into it" (which if it was a diffrent conversation, I'd have informed the person that since the POV is rooted in religious, it's an important way to understand where ST is coming from). Tolerating his religion does not mean we have to tolerate his hate speech. This isn't america, where you have the right to freedom of speech and the right to protest. This is a wiki, where civil discource is expected. He can't act like the Westboro Baptist Church here.

I do think your throught about a warning at the top of the blog, reminding people that all discource on this sensitive topic should be kept civil, and that stating your personal opinions in a way that attacks another or a group will be understood as such is a good addition to the actions taken, and will be implimented.

On PCA's page, underneath the template section, it states "Contributions licensed as CC-BY-SA." This is the Creative Commons license in which, as stated by Community Central, "To grow the commons of free knowledge and free culture, all users editing or otherwise contributing to wikis that use the CC BY-SA license agree to grant broad permissions to the general public to re-distribute and re-use their contributions freely for any purpose, including commercial use, in accordance with the CC BY-SA license." This also goes for all art submitted on the wiki as Wikia automatically uses the Creative Commons license. While attribution must be given, we have no specified manner of doing so. Therefore, there cannot be anything done unless it is specified with a template of a different license.

Also, I cannot do anything outside of this wiki. Nor do I choose to ban them on this wiki over issues on another wiki.
