Tawnypelt - Approved

Tawnypelt.warriorImage of Tawnypelt. What do you think, Gorse? Kitsufox(Fox's Den) 18:45, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

I know I'm not Gorse, but I like it. Eulalia459678(Salamandastron) 19:47, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Looks good to me. =D Dang, I need to work on this more. I'll see if I can work on some pixel bases in the same style as Sandstar soon, but I'm busy with NaNoWriMo, Ww and so on... But, I digress. Good job! Gorse 04:02, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

File:Tawnypelt_warrior2.png I replaced the line art as it was blurry, pink-end the ear, re-did the eye, and added shading. That is all. Nothing else. Nup. Nothing. The end. Full stop. -- Dawnfeather  talk! 11:05, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Wow. It did make a difference on the small things.. it looks great, Dawn. I've double checked and I still can't find anything wrong with it.. :) To be nitpicky, you could make the ear pink a bit darker and more visible. --Bramble My Realm 12:15, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Wow, you've done a great job with her Dawn! I agree with Bramble [who I haven't spoken to in ages :( ] Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 16:16, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

I miss you, too, Sand. :( Stupid school... --Bramble My Realm 21:04, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

She looks great Dawn! Wonderful job!-- Darkhallows  Lair 22:12, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Suggestions before approval? --Bramble My Realm 11:45, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

None; approved Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 10:48, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Willowpelt - Approved

Willowpelt.warrior
Hi everyone. What do you think? Willowpelt's pale gray with blue eyes, in case anyone forgot, so i think i got her the right color. --Bramble 14:44, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
The only thing I spot off the top of my head is that the background isn't transparent. But that's not a big deal. I (or someone else) can convert it over to a PNG file before we drop it into the page if Gorse approves. (I frown against GIF for this one. Too much lost data, it'll make the shading go wonky)  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 19:07, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Looks fine to me. I really oughta try this, who knows, maybe I have a hidden talent ;)--Eulalia(Talk!Contribs) 21:23, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Kitsu and Eu. Looks fine by me. Rather nicely shaded, with all the details needed and no unecassary extras. It's good. Gorse 22:24, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
I added transparency and will take it to the character page shortly. Excellent work, Bramble!  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 22:35, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
That looks silver, not gray. GB 04:20, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Light gray and silver are the same color, really... It's completely accurate, and I believe it's already been approved and added to the characters' page because it's very well done. Really must start archiving these once they're approved...  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 12:15, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Weaselfur - Approved

Weaselfur.warrior
Finally got my butt in gear. Here's something I whipped up for Weaselfur. The hard part at this point is finding characters that have their pixels ready for them, as we're still awaiting pixels for most of the ranked characters. Also, I typically have a huge problem with tabbies and making them look good/realistic, so I've been trying to hold off on those or I fear I'll never get anything done. Anyway, opinions? Gorse 18:29, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I like it Gorse, but maybe he should be a bit more ginger in color. His pelt looks tan, not orange. Other than that, he's awesome! --Bramble 18:37, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I think it looks good! Totally like Weaselfur! I give it an 8/10! GB 19:17, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
It's great, except for the point Bramble brought up, that it looks like a shade of brown, not ginger.
Please not that I have updated the pixel to include some of the suggestions made about it. Gorse 00:02, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Gorse, you're absoballyflippinglutely amazing, did you know that? The color looks great, now.--Σulãlíã(TCG) 00:31, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
This is like the best picture out of all of them! --Redflare 01:52, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Redflare, please take care not to seperate people's signatures from their statements. Gorse, the pixel looks great! I see no reason not to call it approved. Ship it off to the page, eh?  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:51, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I think its absolutely perfect, Gorse! You should put it up. --Bramble 22:16, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I added shading and sorted the eye. The image was actually very good so I just added onto what Gorse had already done. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 12:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

I dont know if its just my computer but his paws look like a very light pink.Very good though!--Stonestar 13:27, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Stonestar

He's pretty good, but the neck shading could be shrunk a bit more. The transition between the white paw and the pelt needs to be blurred; also, the shading style you used is different than the original. The range was highlight for the original shading, and I think you used mid-tones. Is that confusing or do you know what I'm talking about? :) --Bramble My Realm 16:27, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I kind of get what you're saying and I'll edit this asap. lol Sorry for the delay Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 07:23, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Ooh... I definitely see what you mean now... (I'm on my new laptop now (!!!!!!) and it had better graphics quality... ) I will sort it. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 10:57, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Wow, Sandy, Looks better than mine by a long-shot! I had to check in to see if you put it up yet, btw. THe only thing that catches me now is the ear pink. IT looks a touch to big. Can you shrink it a smudge? =)--Warrior♥Warrior's Den 23:46, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

I finally managed to udate this :) Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 11:44, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

I really like the new style of shading, but maybe you could lighten it up a bit? It looks like his fur is kind of burnt now. --♫ insaneular ♫ 13:15, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

Okay. I lightened it the best I could. I didn't do it too much though as it made his fur a strange colour that didn't look ginger at all. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 13:42, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

His paws look like a light pink could you change them please?--Stonestar 14:24, September 3, 2009 (UTC)Stonestar

Oops, sorry Stonestar; I thought I'd gotten everything. Here, better? Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 14:35, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

Perfect i think its ready.:)--Stonestar 15:25, September 3, 2009 (UTC)Stonestar

Ooh that's a beautiful shading style... suggestions before approval? It looks beyond awesome now. :) --Bramble My Realm 20:44, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

Maybe you could add some shading to the paws, they look very flat right now. - Skyfeather '95 20:59, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Could you get ride of the small band of shading on the neck? Either that, or add more shading to make the light area smaller. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 21:50, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I've done my best although I'm not really sure what you meant Moss. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 19:40, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Any other comments before approval? Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 21:49, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - No comments; approved! Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 01:08, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Kitten Pixel Blank - Approved

A kitten blank for use, because I felt like doing something artsy and it seemed more needed than coloring since we've got a few people on that nowadays.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 04:49, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Great job, Kitsu! I like it! GB 15:47, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Wow Kitsu, that's great :) It even looks playful. I made some...attempts at making pixels for the other ranks, and I had the "kit" (it was a kit, just looked like a lump of dirt) stretching up for a leaf on one try, and rolling on it's back on another.--Σulãlíã(TCG) 15:56, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks GB, Eu. The playful look came from my refrence photos of kittens. I don't like to make pixel blanks without reference pics to get things right. Side note: If the blank is approved, I'll make longhaired versions (by adding fluff) and the gender specific versions in the style established by the other set. I just didn't want to make all 4 blanks in one go without getting input. I'd rather sort out issues people have on the shorthair because it's easier ;)  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 15:59, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I like it,but it's eyes are kinda freaky.--JayfeatherSong of Storms~ 15:49, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

*Snicker* My assumption is that the artists will put in eyes that look good. Rather than having them look sorta icky like they do on the Warrior and Apprentice versions when you color 'em in. This way artists create their own pupil/iris and things will look a lot better, and more natural.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 15:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
The only problem (not so much a problem, but whatever) is that it's small. Yes, I know kittens are supposed to be small, but will it look too small in Charcat?--Σulãlíã(TCG) 16:13, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
I scaled it against the apprentice pixel, to be half the size. So that when characters who grow up during the books have their older pixels sent to the bottom of the article somewhere, we can line 'em up and the sizes as they grow up will all be scaled against each other. So I'd rather not enlarge it any. If it looks small in Charcat... well ;) Kittens are small.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 16:22, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
This is great, Kitsu. It should definitely be used. FeathertailxCrowfeather 4ever 13:50, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
KitShortMa KitLongMa KitShortFe KitLongFe

The full set, all lined up. Males, Short and Long Haired. Females, Short and Long Haired. Figured I'd trade 'em out since I have the full set ready to go now, and no one had anything to say against my pixels (really... Size was the only possible issue... But I refuse to make giant kittens ;) )  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 15:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

If there are no comments as to why the should not be used within 24 hours or so, I'm going to call these accepted. Gorse 16:36, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Since it's now the 4th, And noone has said anything, I've added them as approved blanks.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 13:37, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Squirrelflight - Approved

Squirrelflight.warrior
I also did a Squirrelflight picture. Let me know if you believe anything needs to be changed about it.--Shim 23:31, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Wow!I like this one.--JayfeatherTalk 00:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Personally, I don't... But I've never liked the cartoon-triangle-tabby in pixeling, so I'm automaticaly a touch against the style. Also, all of the shading edges are very hard-line, and it would look a lot nicer smoothed out and blended. And... that flood-filled-black background needs to go.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 00:31, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Well,I think it looks good. Why shouldn't we use it? It looks like it was done with a lot of effort, and it wasn't slapped together!!--Mousefire 04:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for great ratings Jay and Mouse. Well Kitsu this is the best I can do. I took away the background. I made the edges as soft as I could. I also took away those cartoon-triangle-tabby in pixeling markings. --Shim 04:36, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I was the first to admit I'm biased against that way of doing tabby and simply don't like it. *points up* Though now she dosen't have tabby markings and needs 'em. I was gonna wait for Gorse, who's actually in charge of the project to weight in. But I do have a feeling that she's going to want to seek improvement based on the fact that it looks really unfinished with the hard-lines between the shading and the main color areas. Mousefire, putting effort into things is never going to be grounds for using them. The quality of the final product is what we care about. Weather it takes 10 minuets or 10 hours to achieve, it's about how good it looks in the end. The fact that Shimmerpool is using a very low-powered and inflexible program that naturally achieves poor results means S/he'll have to work twice as hard as people with programs like GIMP (which is free for download, BTW) or Photoshop to achieve suitable results.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 12:19, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Now, I think you did a good job on this one Shim. But that looks more like Foxpaw than Squirrelflight. Remember, she's ginger, which looks slightly like orange. That color is reddish tabby, Foxpaw's pelt. If you want to know what Squirrelflight looks like, go to warriorcats.com! I give it a 4/10. Sorry, Shim. To get that score up, change the color of the fur! SIGNED, GB 03:17, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

I personally don't like it, as it does look more like Foxpaw than Squirrelflight, and anyway, Squirrelflight's not red. Blackstar78 15:07, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Color is way too dark! She is not red, she's a light shade of orange.--Σulãlíã(TCG) 21:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Sure thing people. I haven't been on in a while so I haven't had time to edit them with school starting in three days. The new version shall probably be up soon.--Shim 02:47, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

No more comments until Shim gets the next version up. Shim, don't take too long ;) Can't leave it pending forever. But if we do end up closing this before you get an update posted, just post another approval thread.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:48, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Here it is people. I'm not sure if its my computer or maybe saving it made the shading darker than it was when it was created. I'm going to have start over on Crowfeather however, somehow it got erased from my computer. --Shim 04:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
First note: There is no reason to upload multiple individual versions. You can just upload the new version over the top of the old one. It'll help cut down on clutter when things are all said and done. The overall shade is definitely better, but the shaded areas are still very distinct and need to be blended. There's also the major issue of her being a tabby and needing her tabby markings.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 12:03, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Kitsu, use blurtool. You downloaded GIMP, right? Also add some shading between the foreleg and the flank. FeathertailxCrowfeather 4ever 13:25, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about that. I don't know how the second one got in there when I posted it. Well this is the new version. Crowfeather will just have to come later when I have free time again which will probably be the weekends. -.- --Shim 22:57, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
It's really shapping up nicely. I can't think of anything more that needs work. Now we just wait to see if Gorse has anything.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:30, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey all, I'm transparifying (is that a word?) the backgrounds of all the (eligible) images that have white backgrounds. FxC* The Waterfall* 16:51, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Approving this since Gorse's life has eaten her (CURSE YOU! Curse you Euphonium!) I shall archive this tomorrow after it's had a change to be announced.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:52, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

(Tweak Week)

Well I finally got redo my very first image that made me member of this project. I changed her completely. First I changed the tabby markings cause I really hate doing that style now. I also blended in her ear and made her white paw a different color so it would actually shade and not be the average white. Then finally I changed her fur since she looked the color of an average ginger cat when she's a dark one. Plus when I finished she really made me think of a cat with a flame pelt and it was always mentioned in sunlight that her fur would turn to flame just like her father. I have to add the transparency in later. What do you guys think of her now?-- Shim-ShimNewGladiator! 06:17, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Wow, this is great! I like your markings alot. :D The ear pink should be just a smidge bigger though, and the white on her paw needs blurred. Also, you probably should shade that foot with the white on it some more. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 14:05, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Her fur still looks a little too bright and unnatural to me. And, uh, Squirrelflight's not a tabby....--Shaf Girl 18:13, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

The tabby markings look great, although I wasn't aware she was a tabby. I agree with Shaf Girl that the color is a bit too bright. Maybe you could make it more like the Weaselfur image? ♫ insaneular ♫ 18:17, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Try toning down the color a it, as she looks very bright and fluro to me... --MUMBLE785MAN-EATING KITTEHS! 19:12, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Squrrelflight's a tabby - in Firestar's quest, it said that she was a dark ginger much like himself - Firestat's a tabby. Plus, in Cats of the Clans, she's a tabby, and it's almost impossible to get ginger cats with tabby markings in the wild. Also, her old image had tabby markings too. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 19:17, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

99.9 percent of ginger cats are tabbies. I have NEVER seen a plain ginger cat. This looks great, but the orange is WAY too bright. Hawkey Ready for action 19:25, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

The orange is a flame colored but it is too bright and unnatural, make it a darker color. -- Peacesong Click Here To Go To........My Talk Page 19:53, September 6, 2009 (UTC)

Updated I'm not sure if its dark enough or not because it was starting to seem a bit too dark on my computer. The last version didn't seem too bright on my laptop either (must be my color settings) Taking advantage of my labor day weekend. Squrrielflight is tabby it has been mentioned multiple times and I'm sure her description has probably been changed too just like her father's (ginger tom, flame colored tom, ginger tabby erins make up ur mine!) so I wouldn't doubt. And I agree with Hawk, I've never seen a pure ginger cat either. If there ever was one, it must have very faint stripes like Sandstorm or something.-- Shim-ShimNewGladiator! 03:16, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

The ginger color is fine; it's about what Firestar's current pelt color is now. Comments before approval? --Bramble My Realm 22:22, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

This is awesome Shim, and I love the tabby markings. I hope it's approved. -- Dawnfeather  talk! 10:05, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

Approved. --Bramble My Realm 02:52, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Brightheart - Approved

Brightheart.warrior
This is Brightheart(obviously). What's everybody think about it? Constructive criticism appreciated. --Bramble 19:17, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Very Good! I'm impressed Bramble! That's totally Brightheart! Gorse would be crazy not to approve of it! I give it a 10/10! Great Job! GB 19:22, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you GB(or GroceryBag, whichever you prefer)! Kitsu, Gorse? Comments? --Bramble 19:26, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
So far, both of your new cat pics have been scored 10/10 by me! I think you do a great job, Bramble! GB 22:46, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Good job, Bramble (not Bumble ;)). I like how you made the ear ragged. I had been wondering how that would look.--Σulãlíã(TCG) 21:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Wonderful!!!! I can't surpress it! It is WONDERFUL to see such a marvalous picture of Brightheart! When it is approved (when, not if, when), please send me the code for it!! Oh, dear, I hope I don't sound like a Brightheart freak... Brightheart 01:59, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

The only issue I've got is that the patches are a bit circular... They're very very regular and smooth and unnatural. I'd like to see more patchiness or just rougher edges on the patches that are there. The pixel is overall very nice, though. I like that you took the time to shred her ear.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:53, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

This is great! I could tell it was Brightheart right away (Great job with the ear!)--JKO 17:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

I tried to do more 'patchiness', Kitsu. I uploaded it png format, if you want in gif, just tell me. What do you think now? Are the patches still too circular and regular? --Bramble 17:44, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Its better!--Redflare 17:45, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
She's supposed to have a ginger tail, not a white tail with a ginger spot.--<Σulãlíã(Salamandastron)> 20:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
*poke* Citations, Eu? Also, the patches look wonderfully natural now. Excellent work. It dosen't come across like you just clicked with the brushes in your editor and smudged the edges a bit.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 06:44, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

I love it!I think it said a few times in the first series that Brightheart had a ginger tail.--Jayfeather:Song of Storms 13:40, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Someone find a page that clearly states that her whole tail is ginger ;) Then I'll force the change. Right now, I'm thinking mostly ginger is pretty much the same as a vague mention of her tail being ginger. This pixel's tail is ginger. mostly.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:27, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

I found the citation, pg. 62 of Forest of Secrets that says she has a ginger tail. I changed it. I think it looks a bit weird now, but what do you guys think? I still have the original with only the ginger spot, if that looks better. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 17:41, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Er, this has been up for quite awhile, and no one seems to have a problem with it presently. May I upload it on Brightheart's article? --Bramble Bramble's Realm 19:46, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Gorse is, I'm sure, busy with real life, and will approve it when she gets a chance.--Σulãlíã{{Talk!}} 02:57, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Both Gorse and I's lives have been chewing on us. Approving this in her absence, since it's waited more than long enough.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:52, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

My new Brightheart. I made her patches a similar color to the new versions, made the shading a lot better, changed her patches position. Not sure if it's better or worse than my old one... suggestions? --Bramble My Realm 02:28, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

She's beautiful Bramble!-- Darkhallows  Lair 07:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

I like this Bramble but i think a small patch of ginger on her hind leg.--Stonestar 13:18, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Stonestar

Well, the thing is, Stonestar, that none of the other pictures of Brightheart have a ginger patch there. I'm aiming for consistency. --Bramble My Realm 01:00, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I like it. but maybe blend the highlights on the upper back and blend the shading on the lower back/ haunch more. Mossflight 01:24, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I like it too :) Just blend a ittle and she's good to go Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 10:50, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Oh okay i didnt notice :).--Stonestar 13:03, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Stonestar

It's hard to tell, but it looks like her eye doesn't have a pupil. It might just be my computer screen making it hard to see but it looks just green to me. --♫ insaneular ♫ 15:32, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

Her eye has a pupil, is it hard for anyone else to see? I blurred to the best of my ability. Any other suggestions? --Bramble My Realm 14:44, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

I know this is a bit late, but I was just rereading FoS and the first description of Brightpaw was 'White with patches of ginger along her back and tail.' So, I mean, if you want to change the patches, you can, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. --♫ insaneular ♫ 14:49, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

I think the patches are fine, and she looked odd to me in my head with just patches on her back and tail... Anywho, I can't really see to pupil in the eye. Maybe make it a tad bit bigger maybe? I dunno. Great image, though. : ) --MUMBLE785MAN-EATING KITTEHS! 23:51, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

This is how I normally do an eye. I can see the pupil fine... This was how the approved version was as well. If I made it bigger it would eat up too much green. Do you really want it changed, or is it passable? --Bramble My Realm 01:47, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

It looks fine to me... Any other suggestions before approval? Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 11:47, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - I think the eye's fine too. Comments before approval in 24 hours? Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 21:48, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - None; Approved. :) Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 22:31, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

Cloudtail - Approved

Cloudtail.warrior
I also did Cloudtail. I made sure to do shading.--Bramble 19:38, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Excellent! This is the Cloudtail we've been looking for! Great job! I give it a 10/10! GB 20:18, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

I like this one as well. It isn't all one color, it has good shading, but it's in the gif, not png, file format, which can be fixed, should we decide to accept it.--Σulãlíã(TCG) 21:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Gif isn't going to damage the image quality because of the low number of colors. It's great looking. The only room for improvement might be adding a bit more shading through the shoulders, so he looks more rounded and less flat there.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:55, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
I reuploaded him with more shading through his shoulders and back area like you suggested, Kitsu. What do you think now? --Bramble 16:35, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
It could use a little blur-tool along the back ;) And maybe a bit of shadow on the 'belly' area under the legs, to give the body a somewhat rounded appearance.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 16:37, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
I added shadow on the belly area, and blurred all the shadows that I'd put on earlier. I think this is the best i can do, Gorse and Kitsu. --Bramble 17:06, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
It's lookin' great. You softened up that shadow on the back really nicely (it was super-distinct before). I don't have anything more. Gorse, do you?  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 17:14, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
What do you think, Gorse? Is it Wiki material? GB(Grocery store) 16:26, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
GB, comments like this bring nothing but clutter to the project. It had been just about 24 hours when you posted that. There is nothing unreasonable about 24 hours turnaround on something like this. Unless you are making comments on the art and how to improve it or it's been several weeks since there has been action, please refrain from making this sort of post.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 06:42, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Approving this. Becuase Gorse is busy and I have a few moments. Will be archived tomorrow.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:52, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Cloudtail.warrior I basically redid the whole picture. :) The old one was bleh. I used more of a superior shading style, and shrunk the ear pink. Also got rid of any pixelated spaces. Suggestions for anything else? --Bramble My Realm 02:25, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

I think it looks pretty good, maybe you could make the shading on his back a little bit more, make it cut off more naturally, otherwise, its pretty good. -- ღ♥Peacesong♥ღ  Peacesong's Talk 02:43, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

I think the shading extends too far and he looks too gray as a result. Lighten up the inside edges of the shading and darken the outside a little bit (to make the white seem whiter).

Will do after school. :) --Bramble My Realm 12:17, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Darkened outer shading, brightened inside shading a bit, blurred thoroughly. --Bramble My Realm 21:14, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Dustpelt.warrior
Yep, its old Dusty. My first time doing a tabby, I'm open to suggestions for improvement. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 14:40, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, this is coming from someone who can't do tabbies. Great job! But he's the wrong color. He's supposed to be brown. Eaglebranch 14:53, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Isn't he already brown? In the allegiances, it says he's a dark brown tabby, but I suppose I could make him a shade lighter if there are enough comments about it. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 20:33, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
He almost looks red to me, which is why I commented, but the tabby markings are great! EaglebranchTalk 20:57, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

It looks very dark, and I can barely see the markings (It could just be my computer, though) Swifty{Asterisks} 01:44, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

It looks dark... But it's a distinctly ruddy shade of brown that you've got there... more of a chestnut than a dark brown. The markings look good, though.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:10, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a lot Bramble! I really like it!!--JKO The Jakkolantern 21:06, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Repuloaded, made him less dark and more brownie(that sounds funny :p) --Bramble Bramble's Realm 02:12, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

The picture kinda reminds me of Brambleclaw, Tigerstar, and Hawkfrost. Well the picture resembles a dark tabby sorta I guess I could say. I agree with Kitsu, make it a bit less lighter.--Shim 03:10, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I didn't say the character needed to be lighter... He is supposed to be dark brown. He's still terribly reddish according to my computer, though...  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:42, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Just noting that this is still very red. Like... it's ruddy like an Irish setter... When the character is supposed to be dark brown.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:41, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

How's this? I may have remade him to shadowed, but he's definitely not reddish now. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 21:35, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

He's supposed to be "Dark brown tabby", and that's definitely what he is now. I'll give it 24 hours and then approve if no one says anything. Great work, Bramble.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 23:55, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Approved. Shall archive this tomorrow.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 18:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Bouncepaw, Rockpaw, Tinypaw - Approved

The three newest apprentices to SkyClan. Put them all together because i didn't want to do three separate messages. Rockpaw has shading; its just hard to see.--Bramble 18:35, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

WOW! And again, WOW!!! GREAT job Bramble! I think you do a very good job on cat pics! I'm sure Gorse will love them, too! GB(Grocery store) 19:57, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

GB, please stop making presumptions like that. Bramble, go seperate topics next time just to keep things sorted better so there's no chance of confusion as to which pixel correction comments apply to. For Bouncepaw I have nothing, save that it's very nice looking. For Rockpaw, you might want to darken the pink or blend it more with the main pelt color, as it currently is a very very stark contrast with the pelt to that pink. for Tinypaw, some blur tool ;) the edges on your white pelt into the shaded areas are very very distinct. Excellent work.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 06:49, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that Kitsu, I'll make sure to do separate messages next time if i have more than one cat pic. Oh, and thanks for the comments. GB, you too, its nice to hear you like my coloring. :)--Bramble 13:47, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry. It's not a major issue, more just a request for future. Gorse's life just got a little crazy, so she might take a day or two to get time to comment.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 13:51, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

I reuploaded. Rockpaw has a darker pink ear as well as it being blurred, and Tinypaw has her shading blurred to the best of my ability. Anything else I can do to make them better, anyone? --Bramble 15:31, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Tinypaw looks better than before, but about Rockpaw's ear, the pink part looks a little small for my taste. GB(Grocery store) 18:42, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

I, personally, feel that Rockpaw's ear looks much more realistic now. Black Cats ears look black on the inside. so having just a suggestion of skin and thinner fur is great. (While realism says solid black, I think that would look weird).  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 20:19, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Anyone have any remaining issues, or shall I approve these 3?  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:37, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm good. Great job, Bramble! GB 02:44, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

A very good start. But maybe add some highlights in addition to the lowlights, to give the image more depth and more visual interest.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 18:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm flattered, Jayfeather! I'm not that good ;D. Thanks GB. I reuploaded, and put on highlights, Kitsufox. What do you think now? Any other things I should improve? --Bramble Bramble's Realm 20:52, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

O awesomeness.

Also guys if you can see some stuff, stand up and then look at it.--JayfeatherSheikah 21:08, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Guys... Cooing and fan-girling aren't appropriate for project pages. If you really MUST do it, do it in private or something. We have more than enough clutter on this page as it is. If all you're doing is back-patting and good-jobbing do it either on the talk page of the image or directly to the artist. Bramble, one last detail. The ears and really really pink in comparison to the pelt color. I think I mentioned it with one of your apprentice pixels in the past.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 03:38, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I think the lighter-color shading should be a bit darker, maybe, so it blends w/ the pelt color more. Otherwise, this is great (besides the ears, maybe, I agree with Kitsu). --FxC **The Waterfall** 03:03, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

I personally like the color Bramble selected for the highlights. Looks like sunshine on glossy fur to me...  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 12:30, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

I reuploaded and changed the ear color. FxC, if I made the highlights any darker I don't think you'd be able to see them. Does anyone else have comments on improvement? --Bramble Bramble's Realm 16:38, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Very nice work, Bramble. this is accepted and will be added in as soon as I have a chance. Once it's on the main page and the character page I'll get this archived.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:43, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Just what i was thinking,Bramble. It is shading, but i little harder to notice than the others. Probably cause of the shape and stuff.--JayfeatherSheikah 01:29, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

I think you did a great job, Bramble! Kitsu, is it okay if I upload another cat right now? I have Sandstorm ready. GB 23:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

GB... See about finishing something before flooding the area with submissions. Bramble, very nice work. The only thing I'd like to see changed is some shading to create a chin on the image and increase the 3d quality a touch.  Kitsufox  Fox's Den 14:49, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Whew, I haven't been here in awhile. Reuploaded: added shading to try and create a chin. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 21:42, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

I think the pale highlights need blending in a bit more. And possibly the ear needs more blending too--Sandy 15:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

The ear, actually, is blended perfectly I think. Bramble, this looks great and I'm sure it will be approved. FxC 23:20, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, FxC! Sandy, I've already blended the highlights as far as they can go. The blur tool won't blur it together anymore. We'll see what Kitsu thinks of them, and maybe I can just take them off. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 23:32, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

I love the image of Rainwhisker! But I think that the highlights could be removed or atleast put on running down his back and one on his chest fur. Are you sure thats as far as it can be blend? Overall, lets leave it to Kitsu-- ShimmerCrytals 01:14, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Bramble really it's too blue and unatural. I suggest adding a more grayish color. Please.--Redflare 15:42, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Hollykit - Approved

File:Hollykit(NP).png

I've coloured Hollykit from the New Prophecy series. My first kit, please comment--Sandy 14:48, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

The eyes look... unnatural. And the pink color for the ears and nose looks extremely bright- I can barely see it compared to the pelt. GB39 15:22, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

GB, you're saying that because the ears and nose are extremely bright you can barely see it compared to the pelt? That doesn't make any sense. But I do agree about the eyes. They look too shadowy. Maybe if you made a sharp define from the pupil and the colored iris it would look better, Sandy. --Bramble Bramble's Realm 16:44, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I've tried to do something with the eyes but I didn't understand the comment about the pink ears and nose...--Sandy 18:53, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Um, the eyes still look kinda weird. Could you put the pupils in the same positions on either side? I think that would help Hawktail 23:46, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Better?--Sandy 20:12, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

The eyes look great. Now just a touch more of some shading and I think Kitsu will love it C: FxC 23:20, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I added some more shading. I'm not sure which version I like better though. This one or the old one. What do u guys think?? Is this an improvement or should I work again on the previous image?--Sandy 18:58, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Sandy, this looks beautiful! We should just leave this to Kitsu. FxC 14:26, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks FxC. I'll just leave it as it is then :)--Sandy 20:24, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

This looks really nice. Perfect blending, shading, and the eyes DON'T look wierd anymore. I hope it gets accepted. --Mallinois The Doghouse 21:52, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

I really like her, and I hope she gets approved but I'm in a fussy mood where I pick up problems where i'm not even sure there are any. I think that the eye colour is a little bit unnatural, and... i don't know, just a bit unnatural. When i first looked at it it seemed a bit weird, so i'm telling you this because first instincts can count for a lot. Thats the only thing that i noticed though, even though i studied it brutally. Good job! Dawnfeather I am of the Forest - I am of the Dawn's Radiance 12:59, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Okay. I lightened the eye colour to make it more of a sky blue opposed to the brighter blue it was before. Thanks Dawnfeather --Sandy Leader's Den 18:45, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Lionblaze-Approved

Lionblaze.warrior

My next attempt at Lionblaze, blended and shaded. What do you think? --Mallinois The Doghouse 01:24, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

I like the other Lionblaze you made better. --Alice 02:16, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I think you need to combine aspects of the two. The body markings from v1 and the tail markings from v2 with the tabby 'm' added too. Also - you had the right idea with the shading on the first one. What I normally do is use the 'darken' tool on a low opacity in appropriate places and blend, then the lighten tool to add highlights. You need to combine the shading of both images without losing the clear cut outline. (ie don't blend the outline) I think that with a bit more work this could be a good image :) It sounds like hard work now, but it could look great! --Sandy 16:15, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Also - the ear pink needs blending in to the pelt, as does the white tipped tail (if you're determined to keep it - i'm staying impartial on that debate!!) I personally like what you've done with the eye though--Sandy 16:17, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
New version up. Feel free to comment.--Mallinois The Doghouse 19:38, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
If I remember correctly, Lionblaze doesn't have a white tiped tail. The shading near his hind leg and front leg seems really dark to go with his pelt too.-- ShimmerCrytals 22:53, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I tried to fix him...again. --Mallinois The Doghouse 02:18, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Better, but he still has that white tipped tail.-- ShimmerCrystals 05:52, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

I like the white-tipped tail, as it is used in CotC(page 28). I used CotC to see what he looked like, as I couldn't get a good enough picture of him in my mind. I am playing FireRed(Pokemon) right now, and my grandparents computer doesn't have A program for imaging, so I can't update right now. --Mallinois 15:24, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

I updated again. --Mallinois 15:43, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed - the shading on the hind legs has entered the background near the belly - it's all gray--SandyLeader's Den 19:21, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

I redid the background(made it white) and added a darker tabby M. --Mallinois 15:28, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

I updated for no apparent reason, just thought about seeing how the tabby markings would blend into the pelt and the shading. --Mallinois 22:03, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

The tabby markings are so hard against his pelt. They look so unnatural that they stick out completely. I liked the last version better.-- ShimmerCrystals 01:05, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

The reason I redid it was because I thought thew tabby markings were so pale... I'll lighten them up. --Mallinois 23:13, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Fixed. They're still dark==, but that's because when I lightened them they turned yellowish. I blended full time and smudged a bit. --Mallinois 14:49, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

I updated with thin tabby markings. --MallinoisHimatsu'sHowl 21:00, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

I removed the highlights and added shading like Weaselfur's I did this because I thought my image was messy. --MallinoisHimatsu'sHowl 14:02, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

I never imagined Lionblaze as a long-haired tom. I thought of him more on the short-hair side. The eye in perfect. But I think you'll need to start over with the coloring and the strips should not look so "twiggy."--Thornpathtogehodou 05:51, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

This is the closet I can get to Golden Brown. If I change it, he looks yellow or orange :D! I can see the tabby markings look twiggy, but it looks better that my other ones. I made him long-haired because his name always reminded me of a lion's long mane... --Mallinois F l u f f y is W a t c h i n g . . . 20:08, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

Firstly, I think the ear needs to have the pink put back in a little because it is now the same colour as the pelt. Also, more shading is needed on the belly, head, legs and tail and this needs to be fully blended. I think the problem with the stripes is that there are not enough of them on the tail or head. Also, they are not a consistent colour - parts of each stripe are darker and parts are lighter giving it a strange half-coloured look. The stripes need to be smoother where they split to make them look more natural. Also - on the chest there are a few white spots that need to be coloured. --Sandy Leader's Den 14:29, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I just noticed something. On the far front leg, it is a very sudden change between the white and ginger.
