Wow, Mosswhisker... you're amazing at making blanks! There are only a few things that I can say about these. Firstly, the neck looks a bit too thin, almost pinched, maybe you could make it a bit thicker. Also, I think there should be a bit more definition between the neck and the foreleg, it looks a little too smooth to me. These are incredible, though! ♫ insaneular ♫Down at Fraggle Rock! 23:39, September 7, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Okay! I changed the muzzles so they have a stop, fixed the foreleg, and fixed the neck. (All I did was shorten it, and I think that helped.) I also didn't know what was wrong with the ears, but I did make them less pointy. I didn't change the fur because it's pretty scruffy as it is, and Loners wouldn't be a scruffy as Roughes. I didn't change the head size becuase when I inceased in by a mear 2 pixles, it looked waaay to big. I also got rid of the gray lines on the longhaireds. What else do I need to fix? (M) - I'll fix these tomorrow. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 23:55, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

I have a few things -

  • The legs are all different lengths. Tey get longer and longer towards the right of the image. The front paw which is bent in the action of walking should be shorter than the others, (because it is bent and therefore not at it's full length) but at the mkoment it is too long.
  • The body is slanted downwards (towards the front of the cat) This may look okay as you finish up the image without being adjusted, but you can have a go at making it more evn if you want to.
  • The ears looks to thin. Don't change the height right now, but have a look at the ears. Also, the back one should probably be on the other side. maybe just fiddle around a bit.
  • The muzzle - it just looks weird to me, no offense. Lots of it is out of proportion and place just within that small space. Open up an approved blank and these, and carefully chck the face, moving around the pixels until they look similar-ish.

Don't get me wrong - i think that these are good, and I know that you've put a lot of effort into them. I'm just trying to help. -- Dawnfeather  talk! 06:54, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

The head does look small in proportion to the body. It looks fine in all of the other departments, though. --Sandiwolf 02:24, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - That actually isn't a dewclaw; it's just a tuft of fur. Origonally it was a dewclaw, but then I realized you wouldn't see that on a cat unless you were very close to them, so I changed it to a fur tuft.

As for the eyes, I decided that I would keep trying to fix them until I got them to be bigger. So I opened Pixlr and got it right on my first try this time. O.O Now, the eyes look a little strange when they're not colored in, but I made a colored example of Husker to show you guys what they look like when they're colored in. There are actually two different ways you can do the eyes, but I prefer this style.

File:Birchstar (RC).png My first leader and my first tabby. Comments? --Spottedwing 00:42, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Here are a few things:

  • Needs shading. If it's there, I can't see it.
  • The nose pink is too bright, it's more of a hot pink rather than just a pink. Try to lighten it some. But from the pictures I was looking at on Google images, brown cats tend to have either brown or black noses, depending on whether they're multi-colored. Try changing it to just a lighter shade of brown from the color of the fur.

It mostly just needs shading. The ear pink looks fine, and so does most of the tabby stripes. Otherwise, I think it looks good. Icethroat21Enter at risk 02:16, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

The tabby stipes need to be longer in most cases and more varied. Add shading and blend it well. Lighten the nose pink. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 13:34, September 12, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded. Redid the image. Made the tabby stripes longer, fixed nose and ear pink, and added shading. Is there anything else? --Spottedwing 02:40, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

Still needs thicker and darker shading. Then blend it for natural transitions. As for the stripes - make them less regular. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 14:36, September 13, 2009 (UTC)

What do you meen by regular?--Spottedwing 02:27, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Your tabby stripes are too few and far between. They also are too thick and they all look alike. Put in some more and vary their length and look; I know warriors are a different pose but you can look at the approved tabbies for reference if there are no leader tabbies approved. Your shading also needs to be increased, slightly thickened, and the transition then needs to be blended thoroughly. --Bramble-san 23:00, September 21, 2009 (UTC)

Pretty good. Just a few things left. Add a few more tabby stripes on her haunch, but be careful to make it not looked cluttered in that area. Thicken and then thoroughly blend her shading; the shading on Cloudstar is a good example. Lighten her ear pink just a touch, and make sure they are triangular and blended. Add some tabby stripes and put shading on the belly area inbetween the forelegs and again blend the shading thoroughly. Put a few slightly varied colors of the same base eye color in the eye, to make it look more life-like. Not to boast, but you can use my fursona on my user page for an example. A few darks, a few lights, and a saturated pixels. Be careful on her neck shading; don't make it too thick, and make sure to blur it hard. More shading around her head; forehead, cheeks, etc. Again blur. Add some more tabby markings on her tail, as well. --Bramble-san 02:44, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Added more tabby stripes. Fixed the eyes, did all I could to the shading without messing up the tabbystripes, added shading and tabby stripes to the belly, added face shading. Did I miss anything? --Spottedwing 01:03, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

File:Sloefur.deputy.png There is shading, but it's hard to see...and what you can see it really messy...should I thicken/darken it, and blur it some more? I've blurred it over and over again, but Pixlr isn't doing much for blurring... Icethroat21 00:39, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

I'll add more shading soon...I should be able to get to it today or tomorrow... Icethroat21 02:11, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Like you said your self, shading. It's easier with a black cat to do shading with the dodge tool, but if your more comfortable using the burn don't listen to me. This is also very dark. I know that it's not black becuase if I tilt me CP I can see the line art. But lighten it up a bit.Minnowclaw

I've got a busy next couple of days, and I won't be able to get on very much. I'll try to work on Sloefur when I can, even if I don't have enough time to reupload it, so please don't decline this. Icethroat21 17:24, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded. I found that it was a lot easier to just start over than to try and edit it, because the shading that I did have was really messy and hard to work with. So...I know that the shading needs blended, but Pixlr doesn't want me to be able and blend it all very much...I mainly can't get the shading on the hind leg right. Any suggestions for what I can do about the shading on the hind leg, as well as on the midriff? Also, sorry I haven't worked on this in a while. Icethroat21 00:46, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

I'll try to lighten the shading soon... (the shading looks too dark, right?) Icethroat21 00:54, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded. I tried to lighten the shading. But if I lighten the entire charart, then the shading gets ruined. And I tried to blur the shading as much as possible, but it's blurred to the max in pixlr. So...suggestions? Icethroat21 21:40, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

No, this is great. Comments before approval? GB57 15:51, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

This may be my screen resolution but the shading looks a little blotchy... can you blend a little more? Apart from that tis good. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 18:30, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I've tried to blur it some more, but it was basically already blurred to the max. Icethroat21Enter at risk 20:56, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Duskfur - Approved

Duskfur.warrior Echomist saw that I made this, and said I should put this up. How is it?

As for the image, gorgeous. There's just one problem; is Brindleclaw the first image that you ever put up for approval on here? If she is, you have to wait until she gets approved before you can post another image. Sorry, I forgot to tell you that... -- Echomist Hear the Echo... 13:58, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for tellingme, I'll wait then. :)--♥Shadowedheart♥ 14:06, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Here, I put that it's temporarily withdrawn, because this pic is beautiful, and I don't want it completely withdrawn. When your other pic gets approved, put "For Approval" back at the top of this section. GB57 15:31, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

There's nothing wrong with a cat like her looking a bit like camo. Shadowedheart, if you could tidy up where you smeared the color outside of the tail (towards the middle-left of the tail), I'd be glad to approve this. GB57 22:01, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Wow, there are no words to describe the pure awesomeness of this pic! Just a few things. One, there are a few white pixels in several places. Two, she needs ear pink. Three, several places seem to be.... blue, like on her tail. Three, there is a strait, unblurred line next to the tabby M that needs to be taken out. Finally, her hind paw facing toward us is a different brown than the rest of her body, and needs tabby stripes. Then she should be good. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 18:25, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

(S) - So cool! It looks great to me, but I don't really do charcat that much, so don't listen to me. Listen to Moss. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 16:54, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I made her a little more brown all over, got rid of the blue (I hope!) and the white spots. I meant to get this up sooner, but my darn internet was down. -- Darkhallows  My den 13:40, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

She's fabulous! :D Maybe just blur the shading a tad. -- Echomist Hear the Echo... 20:46, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Good. But the highlights could be blurred more.  Ghostfire  Happy Halloween! 23:57, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Okay. There are no highlights Hawkey, but I blended the shading the best I could. I don't think the blur tool will work any more. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 20:29, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

The shading needs blurred a tad bit more, because there's too hard of a line. Have you tried using a lower percent (somewhere below 50) highlight (on midtones/highlights) on the edge of the shading to make it a color in between the shading and the pelt, and then blurring it? Icethroat21Enter at risk 21:06, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

There will always be some sort of line no matter how much bluring you use. Also, darken the shading more.--Minnowclaw Enter at own risk... 22:08, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, well I've taken your advice Icethroat and given it a go. The image on the right is the new one. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 14:48, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Very good! But on the patches, take out the lineart on the bottem of them and then blur the pink and gray together, and see how that looks. It might make it look more natural. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 18:21, October 18, 2009 (UTC)
