Cave-Guard Blanks - For Approval

File:Caveguardshortm.pngCaveguardshortfFile:Caveguardlongm.pngCaveguardlongf They're baaaaack XD With Shadowedheart's permission, I am now doing the Cave-Guard Blanks again. They took forever to make. I used many references to get the anatomy right. But, enough about that. Constructments? --HawktalonTalk 13:14, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Wow, these look great! The front two legs look skinny, though, compared to the big hind legs. These are probably the best cave-guard blanks I've seen, great job! --Icy-chan 13:52, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded - Thanks a bunch, Icethroat :D Love the new sig, by the way! Thickened the forelegs. Better now? --HawktalonTalk 15:50, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

These are way better than the ones I put up... Just two things: First, the part where the two forelegs connect with the chest/belly, the two lines are go too in into the legs. Just shorten them a bit. Second, the part where the tail on the longhairs connects with the rest of the body needs more of a curve, not a straight line. Otherwise, they're great! By the way, Icethroat, love the new sig! --Rainwhisker09 15:56, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded - Thankies, Rainwhisker ^-^ I fixed the afforementioned areas. Better? --HawktalonTalk 16:11, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

The tail on the shorthaired ones looks kind of... odd. --Bluestar1776 17:17, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

So, how do I fix them? --HawktalonTalk 18:29, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Make it more pointy, like the tail on the longhairs, but not too pointy. Thanks for the comments on my new sig! --Icy-chan 18:36, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded - Fixed the tails on the shorthairs. And your welcome, Icethroat:) --HawktalonTalk 19:06, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

I think that you may need to move the showing hind leg infront of the foreleg.--Shadowedheart 21:10, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. Could you specify it more? --HawktalonTalk 22:04, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

The hind leg's haunch looks tucked in, and when a cat sits, its out. The flat part on the front of the hind leg should be curved to look like its in front. Also, the front legs back around the hind leg is different on the long and short haired.Shadowedheart 22:21, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded - Ah, I see what you mean now. I fixed the legs. Better? --HawktalonTalk 22:50, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Comments? --HawktalonTalk 20:33, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Yup, much better. --Icy-chan 23:01, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! Anything else I need to fix? --HawktalonTalk 20:57, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

I made an example: [[File:Crag.example.png]] Note that I didn't bother to add mud streaks. I had no trouble coloring it in. --Rainwhisker09 14:26, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Cool! And anyway, i don't think that cave-guards have the mud on them, only prey hunters. i beats me, i don't really know much about the tribe. just thought that i could put out an opinon of mine. --Honeyrose34 21:17, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Wow, these are incredible. I honestly don't see anything wrong. Comments before approval in 24 hours? Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 21:57, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Um, I think that if I real cat sits (because my cat is sitting right next to me right now) the leg on the left ( to our sight) is not that fat. FaithlarkTalk :) 22:24, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, but remember, Cave guards are big they've gotta be big enough to fight off eagles and such--Nightfall101 22:31, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Nightfall's right, the legs are big because they're cave-guards. I can't find anything wrong with these, either. --Icy-chan 22:46, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

The legs should be a little smaller, they may be cave-guards, but they are still cats. Also the longhairs have no fluffiness on the further leg.--Darkhallows 23:35, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

I disagree with you, Shady. I think the legs are in a nice proportion to the body. Hawktalon, the only thing I see that needs to be done is to get rid of the far haunch. In real life, a cat at this angle would hide the haunch. I've demonstrated on your female short haired. Other than that, the hind paw under the tail looks a little awkward. That's all. --Bramble-san 02:12, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded - Got rid of the far haunches and fixed the hind paws (I hope). I don't think I should mess with the hind leg until we get to a final decision on what to do with them. --HawktalonTalk 16:07, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

hmm...the eye looks to big to could just be me.  Brambleclaw14 Talk 16:16, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Swiftbreeze (W)-Approved

File:Swiftbreeze warriors.png

Here's my first charart! I'm very proud of the tabby stripes, they were hard to do. Well here she is, Swiftbreeze from Bluestar's Prophecy--Nightfall101 04:26, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

Wow, this is really good for a first charart! Just blur the white areas a little more, and perhaps don't make the tabby stripes so bunched together.--Shaf Girl 04:10, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Wowzers, I'm impressed for your first charart! Don't bunch up the tabby stripes so much, and the picture itself looks a little blurry... try saving it in PNG format next time. --Bluestar1776 19:05, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Your pupil is gold like the rest of the eye, make it black please!!!--Honeyrose34 20:07, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Make the ear pink just a little bit smaller. --Spottedwing 02:21, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

How do I save it in png format?--Nightfall101 02:23, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Well when you save the image on pixlr, a box will come titled, 'Save Image' Bring down the list next to 'Format' and choose PNG. Follow me? --Spottedwing 03:41, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Alright, thanks! I'll get to work on it--Nightfall101 21:48, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded-Is this better?--Nightfall101 03:18, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

On her description, it just says "tabby and white", not that she has a white tipped tail, white paws and a white chest. I would think this ment patches of white instead of what you did. --Bluestar1776 02:18, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmmm, just because it says she is tabby and white, doesn't necassarily mean brown tabby with white patches. That would look a little weird. Tabby and white could mean anything. It doesn't really matter where the white is, just that she has white somewhere on her body. I'am very proud of this picture, and I don't really want to change where the white is--Nightfall101 03:09, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

For the white patches, that can be a personal preference by the artist, just like gray-and-white could mean patches (ex. Hazeltail), or just gray with white paws and belly (ex. Mousewhisker).

For the image itself, the ear pink is way too bright, and needs to be more of a reddish color, like on Barkface or Stick. The image looks very good, and once the ear pink color is changed, it should be pretty close to ready, if not ready. --Icy-chan 23:29, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

It looks like the puple is still gold. --Honeyrose34 00:24, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

The pupil is white Honeyrose, I promise--Nightfall101 00:36, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded-Is the ear pink better Icethroat?--Nightfall101 00:48, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, the ear pink's much better. Great job! --Icy-chan 04:02, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! Anything more I can do?--Nightfall101 08:43, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Hmm...I can hardly see any detail on the brown part of the tail, maybe run the dodge tool over it a couple of times to lighten it, so we can see the details, and then this should be good. --Icy-chan 21:51, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded: Any better?--Nightfall101 22:48, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Yep. I can't see anything else. Great job! --Icy-chan 23:24, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! Hawkfire said that the lineart on her back looks bumpy, so I'm gonna fix that--Nightfall101 00:07, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded: I tried to fix the back lineart, does it look smoother?--Nightfall101 00:07, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

This is almost ready but I have a few small things: 1) there is some grey lineart on the foreview hind paw. 2) The stripes look very indistinct and over blurred - perhaps define them a little. 3) The white chest patch, whilst there is nothing wrong with it's positon, it is very uneven and blotchy - try and make it maybe slightly bigger and also more even. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 18:12, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded: I ran the burn tool over the stripes, fixed all the gray lineart on the paws, and did my best to improve the white patch on her chest. Better?--Nightfall101 19:34, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

You could maybe darken the back ear some (the right ear), just for cool effect. :) --Icy-chan 15:34, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Which ear? The one farthest from us, or the one closest to us?--Nightfall101 22:25, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

The shading and hightlights are good, but, the stripes just look...wrong--Nightfall101 01:11, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

I know...I can't get them to look right, so could you tell me how to fix it? --Icy-chan 01:25, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmmm, is there any way you could make him just a plain tabby? I mean, is there an acual reference in any of the books that says he has stripes in that pattern?--Nightfall101 01:48, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

I don't have an exact page number, but under the description under Eclipse, here it says "...He is named Bumblekit because Graystripe thought that the stripes on his back made him look like a bumblebee..." but I don't have an exact page number. But there's definitely nothing that says his stripes are tabby stripes, so...suggestions? --Icy-chan 02:05, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

try making them curve a little bit more so they not so straight.  Brambleclaw14 Talk 15:52, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Make them further apart too, so there's less of them. I think thin triangles may work better for this... Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 19:48, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Have them extend into the body more.--*Minnowclaw* 22:30, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Minnow's right about extending them. They kinda look like they used to extend, but they were chopped off--Nightfall101 23:39, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded. TFA just says he has stripes, but doesn't say they're just horizontally across his back, so that's why I added stripes to the legs and tail. Is this any better? Personally, I like this version better...but I want to see what you all think. --Icy-chan 18:24, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Reuploaded. Well, I made Graywing from Quailfeather. (It had no eye color on the description so I just kept blue.) --Mossy SC 23:57, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Add a highlight on the head, but make sure you keep the eye color and then fill the eye color back in so it's not five shades too light. :) Also, thicken the shading some, but make sure you don't get it too dark. If it's too dark, then run the highlight tool over it once or so after you thicken the shading and blur it.

One more thing, darken the ear pink. Run the burn tool over it once or twice, and then blur it again, and it should be good. --Icethroat21Enter at risk 00:23, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

It looks like there's highlights around the shading, so try and use the burn tool on that part of the shading to darken it to fit with the shading, ot darken it to blend between the shading and the fur color, and then BLUR, blur, blur! (or something like that. Try playing around with it and see if you can get the burn tool and blur tool to work.) --Icy-chan 02:20, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Darkstar (RC) for approval

File:Darkstar(RC).png I like her name...Darkstar...XD-- Pebble2Pineow> *poke* hai! 05:30, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

I like it, but lighten the eyes a little, or add a white spot to make a glare. (I don't know if that makes scense or not)And maybe darken the fur. Also, when I was reading Code of the Clans, I found the picture that went with the scene she was in. There was a cat somewhere in the middle that was most likely Darkstar, and it was a tabby. (Just a thought, you don't have to make her tabby)--Nightfall101 05:44, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

that's another Darkstar *reuploaded*-- Pebble2Pineow> *poke* hai! 17:54, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

I thought I reserved Darkstar?--AshshadowMy Clan 18:56, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Actually ignore my previous comment. Yours is way better than mine. Can you darken the pelt a little more, it looks reddish brown right now.--AshshadowMy Clan 20:00, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

I really like this but I have a few small things. 1. Can you darken the shading under the chin and on the neck a little to define this area more. 2. The eye colour is too dark. I like the highlight in the eye but it's hard to distinguish the dark blue from the black of the lineart. 3. The ear pink needs to be smaller and contained within the ear so some pelt colour can be seen around the outside. Look at Cloudstar or Sunstar. It should be a triangle shape and well blended Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 21:56, November 14, 2009 (UTC)

Make the nose a little more of a darker pink. --Spottedwing 02:56, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

reuploaded-- Pebble2Pineow> *poke* hai! 16:24, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

I think the eye color is still a tad dark, mayb use the dodge tool once or maybe twice. --Honeyrose34 21:32, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

This is turning out great! But I don't think the eye is to dark, it's looking good. But I do see four white pixels, two on the tail, one right next to her right paw, and one on her left ear. Also, the lineart on her left eye is thinner that the lineart on her right eye, could fix that maybe?--Nightfall101 01:36, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

Great! But maybe you can make the ear pink more triangular. :) And the eyes... brilliant, but they sort of bulge. You can add more lineart to the eyes. FaithlarkTalk :) 22:23, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

I think what the problem is with the eye is you thinned the lineart on the top of it. I fixed that for you. I hope you don't mind:) --HawktalonTalk 16:18, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Wow, this is incredible Holly! All I really have to say that it was never mentioned in his description whether it was only his front paws that were darker gray, so I would make them all dark. But other that that, I think this is amazing=)--Nightfall101 16:29, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Nightfall it does say with two Darker gray paws.  Brambleclaw14 Talk

Oh, my bad sorry=)--Nightfall101 17:02, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Fantastic! All I can see is that you should add a couple of black pixels in the eye, one on the right pixel on the right, one right under that, and one to the left of that, so that you have one white, then the black, and then the color of the eye. (Sorry if that sounds too complicated, let me know if I need to rephrase it.) --Icy-chan 20:56, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

This will sound really odd, but shouldn't he look, crazier and have some matted fur?--*Minnowclaw* 02:01, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

(S) - I don't think so, because when he was acting all crazy he was a loner. Admittedly, he still acted a little crazy in SkyClan, but at least his fur was groomed. Mosswhisker & Steatlhfire 13:07, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

I can't see the eye color that much because it blends with the black on the face. I can't see it unless i go REALLY close to the computer screen. Make it lighter or make the black patch not so close to the eye. --Honeyrose34 22:31, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Icestorm, compliments are nice, but if there is no constructional value in the comment, please do not bother to post it. Icy, very nice, but a lot of the pixels right next to the lineart are not the same color as the shading. it gives the image a grainy effect.
