Being mentioned with a long tail is far from being normal. This warrants an alt because tails do not grow back on cats, and Longtail got one for when his eyes got clawed out, and I do believe Berrynose has alts for this already...but I think they're when he was a kit. Erm...he's not even mottled. He's a solid colored ginger cat drawn this way because the artist doesn't realize all gingers need stripes. It is a long-furred effect drawn on his back, nothing more. If he were meant to be mottled, he'd be mottled in all of his art anyway. Tawnypelt (W. Alt4) - Approved Edit

Dang, she has about as many alts as Daisy :P Alright, I have my reasons for this. For one, I believe that she has been described as a dark tortoiseshell, and a dark tortoiseshell and a pale tortoiseshell are two totally different pelt colors. A pale, or dilute, tortie consists of blue, cream, and white hairs, while dark torties are black and dark ginger or even brown. Secondly, when I was reading, it said something along the lines of "he could see her pale fur crouching in the undergrowth", meaning that her fur must have been pretty light to stand out against the shadows. She gets this alt, in my eyes. I feel that I should probably either lighten the shading or the fur effect some and define some of the dapples on her cream patches, you guys agree? Erm... that other image is just a tortie and white, otherwise known as a pale tortie... saturated blue as a photograph (as in the entire photo is saturated blue, it has gray fur, not blue)... and Tawnypelt already has a tortie and white alt... And maybe the passage in the book was describing her lighter patches of brown fur? I'm sorry, the image is lovely, but she already has an alt for this. Hmm, Just a suggestion, but how I make shading easier, I make a new layer, I use paintbrush or pencil, I draw the shading in pure white and full opacity and then blur it, and then set the layers opacity to whatever level looks best, and it makes it easier to work with. --Raven^Beeeeeees 23:19, May 3, 2012 (UTC)
