This is the Project Character Art Approvals PagePlace new character art for approval here. Discussions should be routed to the discussion page, while all Art Tweaks should be routed to the tweak page, and all Tweak Nominations should be routed to the nominations page.

Here are some guidelines all users must comply with Make sure to follow the guidelines. The limit is 40 images, regardless if some are CBAed or withdrawn. If you exceed it, your image will be immediately declined. Your image is yours until it is archived, do not reserve a new one until yours has completed CBA and/or has been archived due to other matters. If your image has been declined due to the one month limit, you must wait two weeks to reclaim your image. This gives other users the chance to work on it if they wish. If your image has gone less than three (3) days without comments, please do not ask for comments or a CBA. It is common to go a couple consecutive days without comments before a CBA is set into place. To ask before the three day timespan has passed puts your image at risk of being declined. Please do not align your images! This messes up the structure of the page.

Reuploaded I don't know if anything actually changed. I did get lazy and use gaussian blur then smooth out some shading with the blur tool at a low rate (like 5). I might've dulled the earpink down a bit too much. Only thing I didn't change was the eye depth. Could I get a second opinion on it? Since you had asked for like, an explanation: do you see how on the other images on here, the shading is super smooth (for lack a better word) and you can't really see the transition from base color to shading? The shading seems a little pixelated, is that intended for mottling or something? Also, if the white background isn't budging after PNG-fication, select the white background with the Wand tool and, um, delete the selection. I know I'm not a kit (or in the project yet, for that matter), but I wanted to play it safe, so I put 'For Evaluation'. Besides, it's my first official project.

Try adding some tufts of fur to the back of the front legs/elbows on the longfurred. Cats normally have longer fur there regardless, but it would be even more prominent on a long furred cat. Also, try to make the tails a tad more.. rounded and soft?? It has a few sharp edges here and there, so if you could soften that it would be great. I don't know of any way to make them smaller without pixelating them - just make them smaller, use whatever tool on whatever program you have to harden the lines, if possible, and if that makes sense, and then go in manually and make sure the whole lineart is two pixels wide. Definitely make the long-haired tail way, way fluffier, as well as the cheeks, neck fur, and belly fur, look at the queen blank to see what I'm talking about. The far back leg (behind the cat) is bent way too sharply, and the toes should be facing straight to the right, not turned towards us. The paw on the back leg closest to us looks like it's lifted in the air, and that wouldn't work since the front leg on the same side is definitely lifted in the air, the cat wouldn't be able to balance like that; flatten that paw so it looks like it's set firmly against the ground. The lifted front leg, the paw looks like it has too many joints - either get rid of that bend just above the paw and have it held straight up with the toes held out forward, or bend the paw back. Also, your perspective seems off; the far front leg is much longer than both back legs. Make sure the paws on the same side of the body is even with each other on the ground. Are you using a one px brush? i find it hard to make the shading look smooth and nice with it and it takes a very long time in order for the shading to not look uniform. Using a size 10 bristle brush smoothes out the shading and gives the same furry affect- this is just a suggestion, not that you have to ^^. User:Burntclaw/Sig 02:28, September 17, 2015 (UTC)
