Reuploaded. Basicly, I put the texture layer on multiply and added the texture. Then, I blur it (using blur tool), and used the smudge tool at a size of 05 (Gimp). Sorry, but the shading on the side by the haunch is blotchy with a light patch surrounded by shadows. Also, you might want to curve the shading edges a bit more and blur it. I honestly think it's fine. I've used this style of shading before (see Mistystar's Alt Warrior image), and no one commented on it before. Shading is not required to be the same darkness throughout the entire image. While we're on the topic of shading, would you mind extending it and maybe adding some light, as I kinda did here? Red is where I think it could be expanded, and the blue would be the light. I also remember hearing that not all the back feet would be in shading unless the cat is sitting awkwardly- but I could be mistaken about that, and someone else is more than allowed to contradict me on that note. —Jayce(18:09, 10/15/2014)

Lighten the shading in the center of the body, darken the tail shading, define the head shading, and on the back leg closest to us, flip the shading and the light. I honestly think it's fine. Like I said before, I've used this style and lightsource before (the lightsource is coming from the top left corner), and it was never commented on. Also, I can see all of the shading just fine, and if I lighten the shading in the center of the body, I'll probably just be told to darken it again. However, if others agree, I'll change it. Smudge the fur into the earpink, define the lightsource as the tail tells me it's coming from one direction and the rest of the body tells me another direction. And the body shading is leaking away from the lineart and where the tail is on the body. And wouldn't this have to be under the old post or at least the old post archived before this being reposted? It is not mandatory on any blank, Darkfrost. That's a very common and quite annoying PCA rumor among members that needs to stop. It doesn't really go with the body as well as I think it could. The body shading kinda seems like a straight line.. or something along those lines. The shading is receding from the lineart on the tail, <<<< foreleg, neck and head. Also, adding on to what Amber said, shading doesn't have to be black. Sometimes, black shading can throw off the color of some pelts, so we just choose a different color. ☽➸ Hawky Void Shadowshot18:58 Sat Oct 18

I can make the heading whatever I want it to be. I could make the heading "Bright Stream - (Old tribe of rushing water) ~ For Approval" if I wanted to. Ah, new blanks they look awesome! I think that you could blur the shading around the chest and shoulder area. I like the style.
