Here are some guidelines all users must comply with
  1. Make sure to follow the guidelines.
  2. The limit is 40 images, regardless if some are CBAed or withdrawn. If you exceed it, your image will be immediately declined.
  3. Your image is yours until it is archived, do not reserve a new one until yours has completed CBA and/or has been archived due to other matters.
  4. If your image has been declined due to the one month limit, you must wait two weeks to reclaim your image. This gives other users the chance to work on it if they wish.
  5. If your image has gone less than three (3) days without comments, please do not ask for comments or a CBA. It is common to go a couple consecutive days without comments before a CBA is set into place. To ask before the three day timespan has passed puts your image at risk of being declined.
  6. Please do not align your images! This messes up the structure of the page.

Snowtuft (DF) - For Approval

Snowtuft.dfHi, my name is Iciloo and it's been a year since I did art for the project so don't yell at me. Appledash the light of honor 02:00, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Erm...im not trying to yell at you in the slightest, but i cant exactly tell where your lightsource is coming from? And isnt the scar and the rip in his ear supposed to be on his other side? And i believe you may have colored the part in the mouth that's not supposed to be the mouth (i.e the triangle hole next to the tongue) sorry if im confusing you ;-; User:StormSongz/Sig 02:07, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded:  fixed the scar and ear. for the mouth I used Tigerstar's blank as a guide so...and I don't know how you want me to fix the light source. I shaded it and I didn't use highlights so it'd be awesome if you specified what you meant. Appledash the light of honor 02:23, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

re-uploaded: was suggested to use pure white so i did that Appledash the light of honor 04:21, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

It appears somewhat that your lightsource is mainly coming from above the cat. I guess what i mean is maybe try only from the front of the cat, because the light right under the body on the tail tip is confusing User:StormSongz/Sig 04:26, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Why would she need to change her entire source just because the light on the tail looks "confusing"? tbh, all she'd need to do is add more shading to the tail-tip to fix the problem. The source itself is just fine, barring the tail. Jayce(05:21, 7/15/2015)

Define light on the legs and tail if needed :) ~ Cheryl Champagne Problems 🍷 (08:40,7/15/2015)

Mind defining the light and shading on his legs? I cant really see it.~☯ Breeze Five Nights at Freddys 17:58, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: defined shading and light on legs and tail and Cloudy asked me to smudge the scar so I did that Appledash the light of honor 18:04, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Tbh, I can't really make out the shape of the shading, especially in his legs. Would you please mind defining it overall? User:Burntclaw/Sig 19:07, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

I can't define it anymore than it already is. It even looks a little too sharp to me. I didn't even know we needed a shape for shading ._. Appledash the light of honor 22:04, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

I agree with burnt - try adding some depth - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 22:11, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Please read my above comment. Appledash the light of honor 00:47, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

Then add another layer of thinner shading at a lower opacity or something, Icy. I agree with Fox and Burnt that the depth should be defined a bit... Jayce(12:03, 7/16/2015)

Re-uploaded: [whispering] i tried Appledash the light of honor 14:30, July 16, 2015 (UTC)

Can you smooth out the shading a tad bit more? User:StormSongz/Sig 22:25, July 17, 2015 (UTC)

Do you mean blur it? Or smudge it? Appledash the light of honor 00:39, July 18, 2015 (UTC)

Blur User:StormSongz/Sig 00:46, July 18, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Is this better? Appledash the light of honor 01:33, July 18, 2015 (UTC)

The shading is leaking on the stomach and legs. Yes it looks great ^_^ - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 04:26, July 18, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Yup! Also I kinda hid the scar layer and saved it wtihout noticing...I put it back. Iciloo   02:35, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

My cat is silver and she has black pads... but anyway, with this source shouldn't there be shading on the left side of the main body? ~ Cheryl Champagne Problems 🍷 (07:29,7/19/2015)

No? Then that would mean there would be no shading. Iciloo   15:25, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

The light is a little hard to see on the legs and tail, mind defining it? —Ivy 23:01, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

There are pink pixels on his underbelly. User:Burntclaw/Sig 23:02, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

I think they are his scar, Burnt? —Ivy 23:04, July 19, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Yup, it's his scar! But I forgot to put it under the shading layer so I did that, and I defined the light. I think I messed it up >: I don't know...I think I need to blur it more? I might have defined it too much. I'm talking to myself. Idk man. Jet fuel can't melt steel beams. Iciloo   00:17, July 20, 2015 (UTC)

CBA? Jayce(11:52, 7/20/2015)

Sorry to burst your bubble but you still have the little triangle by the tooth in the mouth next to the tongue colored in. That shouldnt be anything at all User:StormSongz/Sig 00:01, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

I already told you, I used Tigerstar's mouth as a base. And I also used Thistleclaw's as well. So if that's an issue then those should be fixed as well. Iciloo   00:03, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

I think you should ask jayie as shes the one who made the blanks User:StormSongz/Sig 00:46, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Just thought I'd pop in and say that if Apple says it matches Thistleclaw, then there shouldn't be a problem because that's Jayie's image. —Ivy 00:54, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

The mouth is fine. Tbh, it's really not worth arguing over- it's not even that important to the image. However, may I ask you to define the shading on the legs? This will continue CBA afterwards. User:Burntclaw/Sig 00:56, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: This is as much defined as I can get it to without it looking like it wasn't blurred at all. Iciloo 01:17, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

The back leg farthest from us looks a bit odd. Shouldnt the light be on the other side of the leg with your light source? User:StormSongz/Sig 01:36, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Erm, no, it shouldn't. It's in the right place? Iciloo 01:54, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Eh it's fine tbh. Continuing CBA? User:Burntclaw/Sig 03:50, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Im really sorry but i cant make heads or tails of your lightsource. Can you please define it? I mean the light on your legs and tail dont make sense, and the shading on the back lioks out of place, like where there should be light theres just shading lines... User:StormSongz/Sig 19:17, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I can see her lightsource just fine. Just because it's not overly defined does not mean it's not there. Burnt and I think it's fine, and I'm going to continue the CBA. Overly defined shading on white cats looks gross, or in Cloudtail's case, it looked blocky before I had to tweak it. This is a lovely image and I don't think the shading needs to be "fixed" or anything of the sort... Jayce(19:20, 7/21/2015)

I didnt say icy needed to define their shading i said to define the light source. The head shading looks out of place as well as the legs and the tail User:StormSongz/Sig 19:24, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

It looks almost the exact same as Tigerstar and many of the other Dark Forest images that were approved. Right now, it's 2-1 in favor of Icy's source as it is. I'm sorry, but I still don't understand why it needs to be fixed, when it's honestly fine. Everyone has their own shading methods and techniques, and no one is more right than anyone else. Jayce(19:32, 7/21/2015)

The front of the face, or at least the forehead and nose, should be in light if we're assuming the light is coming anywhere above or to the right of the image, and there shouldn't be shading along the back or shoulders at all, where there currently is. Personally, I think the shading is over-blurred, because I can't even tell where the light on the legs is or if there's even shading on some parts. Harder-edged shading may look gross on white cats, but you can get a sharper edge than this and still have it be visually pleasing. Rainlegs 22:55, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Took Stormsong's advice - thanks to Trolly for helping me. Also, I know that the midriff shading needs a lot of blurring. I'm working on that right now - expect that in the next upload. That should be in like 20 seconds. dont yell at me i triedAppledash the light of honor 23:46, July 21, 2015 (UTC)

Where's the shading on her back paw furthest away from us? - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 04:55, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Non existent but now it's back. Is it just me or does it look like I messed something up? I didn't touch anything but the leg...Appledash the light of honor 04:59, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Could you darken the shading just a bit? - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 09:32, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

I cannot see hardly any shading on the legs. Could you define that? As well as the tail please User:StormSongz/Sig 14:28, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Darkened and defined shading. Appledash the light of honor 15:26, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Also, I don't know why it looks so sharp. It looks fine in GIMP. <_< Appledash the light of honor 15:27, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Looks better! It doesnt look that sharp to me. Possibly define a little bit of light on the front legs? And the head ? User:StormSongz/Sig 15:29, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Appledash the light of honor 17:05, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Hmm...maybe just a tad more? The front legs look like theyre all in shadow and maybe for the head, add some more light on the muzzle and the top of the mouth, and around the eyes and i think itll be good :) User:StormSongz/Sig 17:47, July 22, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: This is honestly the best I can do without making it look disgusting. Appledash the light of honor 02:07, July 23, 2015 (UTC)

CBA? Jayce(07:41, 7/23/2015)

Not trying to be picky or anything, but I really cannot see any shading on the legs. Could you try to define them more? - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 09:50, July 23, 2015 (UTC)

No, I can't. I've already stated this: I cannot define it more than it already is. I'm sorry. I'm trying to but I literally can't. Appledash the light of honor 15:10, July 23, 2015 (UTC)

Its not that hard icy. Add another layer and make it a bit darker of a color and use a small brush to add a bit of depth to the legs. And i still cant see the light on the front legs or barely any on the head. When you blur, do you use a large brush setting? If so i suggest using a maller brush. And the part of the tail thats under him should be in shadow as well. User:StormSongz/Sig 19:16, July 23, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: I'd appreciate you not telling me "it's not that hard". I know how to do this, Storm. I know it's not hard. It's a matter of being unable to do it. I've played around with the shading and this is as much as I can get. But as we speak I'm uploading a version with the tail shaded in - it was being really dumb and didn't upload at the same time. God bless wwiki's uploading service. Appledash the light of honor 22:08, July 23, 2015 (UTC)

Can you possibly add some shadow to the very backs of the back legs, and erase some shadow on the very front of the front legs? Looking good ^^ User:Winterflurry/Sig 13:27, July 24, 2015 (UTC)

@StormSongz: the light source is coming from above. Define the shading on the back right leg. ~Spotteh 13:32, July 24, 2015 (UTC)

Spotted, you just repeated what Winter asked Icy to do. Please don't repeat comments. Jayce(13:33, 7/24/2015)

Re-uploaded: Hm....I tried to define it but I think I might've gone overboard. Appledash the light of honor 14:54, July 24, 2015 (UTC)

Define light source on the main body...? I'm not picking, but he kinda only has shading on the bottom side of his body... ~ Cheryl Champagne Problems 🍷 (13:02,7/25/2015)

theres not going to be shading on the top if the lights coming from there? david 🌈 19:23, July 25, 2015 (UTC)

What trolly said. And I can't define the shading anymore. Please don't ask me to do that because I can't. Appledash the light of honor 22:37, July 25, 2015 (UTC)

Not define it, but could you darken it in general? That might do the trick. User:Burntclaw/Sig 02:26, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: Appledash the light of honor 02:59, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

I think I read earlier in these comments that the light is coming from above the head? If so, could you erase some of the shading on the forehead/nose, as there should be light shining on there if the light is from directly overhead. Also, could you have the belly, shoulder, and back hip shading dip low, following the curve of the shoulder.belly/hip, to show the shape of it when the light falls on it? I dunno that I worded well. XD If that didn't make sense, I can do a redline if you want. Jayie Unwritten words~ 04:58, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: I did exactly what you said. And for the life of God, no one tell me to define the shading. I can't. Appledash the light of honor 05:20, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

That looks good. :) Could you just bring the shading up a bit on the shoulder, against where it hits the belly, against the lineart? It'll show the shape of the shoulder better and dinstinguish it from the belly shading. Jayie Unwritten words~ 05:22, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

Re-uploaded: I think this is what you meant? I don't know, I'm really tired I can't think straight. <_< Appledash the light of honor 05:27, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

Er, most of you won't know me and that's okay, and you can disregard this comment because I'm not a member anymore, but I'd thought I share my two cents since I came across this and say that the scar on Snowtuft's belly shouldn't be so far down to the point where it's only crossing the belly fur, because fur doesn't scar and the fur the scar is covering looks like its hang fur and not covering any kind of skin. The scar should be unnoticeable on the other side of him or a little bit more elevated on the side the cat is facing us with to the point where its not just going across belly fur and instead across skin, if you get me? And if that scar is indeed touching the skin, the area there should be bare of fur and not just turn pink, because to me it looks like pink fur rather than a legitimate scar. Stoemstar 21:19 Sun Jul 26

Sure, give your two cents, but I don't exactly know what you want me to do with it. You're telling me what's wrong, but you're not telling me how to fix it. And I based the scar from the warrior image, so... Appledash the light of honor 02:58, July 27, 2015 (UTC)

Actually, on this side of the image, the only part of the scar that would possibly show is up near the ear... Jayce(11:34, 7/27/2015)

Re-uploaded: hi Appledash the light of honor 17:18, July 27, 2015 (UTC)

Could you darken the overall shading just slightly? Just bump the opacity of the layer up a bit? I'm having issues seeing the shading but it may just be my iPad screen. Berry Midnight Monster's Parade! 10:49 Thu Jul 30

Is there neck shading? If so can you define it, please? Nice! —Ivy 00:48, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

The haunch shading kind of cuts the haunch in half, if that makes any sense. Since the haunch is raised higher than the torso of the cat, the shading should go around the whole outline of the haunch. Basically shade by following the haunch lineart around, and make it more circular, then connecting with the shading on the back part of the hind-legs, if that made any sense lol. Splook sweet  creature 03:35 Sun Jul 26

Can you erase some of the shading on the far ear, it should have more light on it, I believe, with this light source. Jayie Unwritten words~ 05:09, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

But when I looked "pale amber furred" up it came up with pale ginger/cream cats... idk - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 09:01, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

I legitimately don't know, Fox. I got things like this, this, and this. They don't look like a pale ginger shade to me at all. Jayce(09:05, 7/29/2015)

ehhhh consideing most shades that pop up are like a pale ginger i dont think its different enough to be warranted. david 🌈 09:38, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

Goldenflower is 'pale' ginger, and pale amber is a warm gold. If ginger cats get alts for being called orange, this should be warranted too in my opinion. ~ Cheryl Champagne Problems 🍷 (09:41,7/29/2015)

ok but....look up gold tabby cat and see what you get. ginger cats. (and random brown tabbies gj google) david 🌈 09:48, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

pale amber is yellow, yellow is not ginger, therefore this could warrant. User:Burntclaw/Sig 13:51, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

google a yellow tabby, and you still get gingers. its not enough shades off to be an alt. david 🌈 13:55, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

Google isn't always reliable, i still think that a yellow tabby is warranted User:Burntclaw/Sig 14:03, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

its reliable enough when 99% of the images are ginger cats :/ not to mention all the related search results are about orange/ginger cats, and yellow is just a variation of ginger that looks extremely close to pale ginger which goldenflower is. david 🌈 14:06, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

I'm gonna have to agree with Trollsky on this one. I think they're basically the same. User:Winterflurry/Sig 14:10, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

I did a Google search as well, the results I got were more yellowish brown, rather than yellowish orange like pale ginger, just saying. So I think this could be warranted. —Ivy 14:15, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

I actually take back what I said. I looked up pale amber cat and got this, this and this for results. I think it's basically around the same as pale ginger, but it's more towards the pale cream/yellow/gold side. So if that's the case, then I think the image should be lightened quite a bit, so as not to mix anything up. User:Winterflurry/Sig 14:22, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

theyre still pale....its not more than two shades. david 🌈 14:25, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

Those cats look pale ginger to me, just a bit more yellow, to be honest. I think pale Amber isn't different enough to warrant. - Fox 僕たちはひとつの光 14:40, July 29, 2015 (UTC)

(Ginger cats shouldn't have gotten alts for being called orange.) I think this isn't really enough to warrant an alt, either. It's a beautiful image, no doubt, but I don't think it really needs an alt. Appledash the light of honor 15:33, July 29, 2015 (UTC)
