I drew Brambleberry i know it's not perfect. critism and tips welcomed dearly. --brambleberry 17:07, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Brambleberry, sorry but were closing this section. We are getting ready for Tweak Week and clearing up the page. No new art is allowed at this time. You can put this back up after Tweak Week. Hawkfire ♫ Go Aggies! 17:13, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

add/darken shading... --MUMBLE785 23:46, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Add a tad bit of shading under the chin, head, sides, and lightly on the pars. Blend the ears some more and there's a darker line of pink running through it. Lighten the eyes, as they are hazel, and add a highlight to them. He looks very cute. =)--Warrior♥Warrior's Den 00:20, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Also, judging by what you said on Scourge you are using paint, right? Try using www.pixlr.com to edit your images. (Use the burn tool for shading and the blur tool for ...blurring.) MosswhiskerAndStealthfire 00:33, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

I can hardly see the shading and there's a part gray background..Theres look like some gray near his left foreleg close to the line art. There's also some near his ears and where his two paws meet his chest.-- ♪Shimmer 01:40, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

i worked on shading more, and made the BG transparent, if it dosent show up for you guys tell me. and i also noticed the line art was lightened when i was doing shading, so i fixed that problem, have i fixed it all? rainpelt worked on shading and ears more, no comments in a while, so, i dont know what to do next.

Well, he needs shading on the other side of his body, his front legs and top of head, and your current shading needs to be blurred in more. There's also an extra bit of gray stuck in between the tail and side, get rid of that. --Bramble My Realm 02:08, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

It looks like you smudged it more than you blurred.-- ♪Shimmer 15:54, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

The shading needs to be blurred into the pelt, to make it look more natural, and less like patches. Plus, he's supposed to be black. Right now, he looks more like a dark gray. Maybe make him a little darker. Other then that, good! Jaypaw189 21:21, 30 July 2009 (UTC) aka Jayie

Add a white pixel into each eye for a highlight, then you need to redo the shading. It just doesn't look right. Here is exactly where: A thin line of shading on both of his cheeks and on top of his head. A slightly increased size of shading down both of his sides, a thin line of shading along the bottom of his tail, and two lines of shading up one side of each of his forelegs. --Bramble My Realm 20:36, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

worked on shading a bit.-rainpelt

Okay. Firstly Rainpelt, please sign with 4 ~s as no-one can tell when you last edited. Now for the image: The ear pink is way too big for the ears and is too pale for a black kit. The shading needs to be more of a line as Bramble said above. Look at some of the approved kits (Mosskit, Applekit, Runningkit and Wolfkit are some good examples) to see how are where to put shading. Blend it in and this looks good to go. Sandy~Dragonkit's Forest 19:03, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

I've always had a hard time with kits, I like the color you chose, and Sandy pretty much covered it, the only other thing is that the nose pink is too red.-- Darkhallows  Lair 17:28, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

He neeeds much more shading, and the shading needs to be darker. blur the shading more and blur the ear pnk. --Mal Sorrel-Wolf 12:28, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Nice color! All I see is that to darken the shading, and mayeb brighten the ear pink. It is grayish pinkish. Hawkfire ♫ Go Aggies! 19:00, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I tried thickening the shading, and, I blended the ear pink more, lightening it, just a tad. I'm trying to make it look like Owlstar's ear pink, so I didn't lighten it a whole lot. Is this better? --HoneyfurBob's Your Uncle! 21:08, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for being so picky, but I would thicken the shading even more than what you have now. It needs to look almost 3D, not just like there's a shadow at the edges of the lineart.-- Echomist Look out for flying hedgehogs! 01:30, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I completely re-did him. I agree with Echomist; the shading was very....strange. Is this a little better? Oh, and you're not being annoyng, Echomist; if anyone's being annoying, it's me, with my stick-thin shading. ;) --HoneyfurBob's Your Uncle! 22:29, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry for the clutter, Bramble. =( I'll try, and get this approved (Or declined) at warp speed! ;) Anyway, I darkened the shading, a bit more. Meh. Looks a little weird. Suggestions? Psst, I will get this shading stuff right, if it kills me! --HoneyfurBob's Your Uncle! 00:38, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Don't feel bad, Honeyfur. :) The Project's just so popular, the page gets messy, and I was in a bad mood when I wrote that. Anyways, the image is good, he just needs some shading on his tail, hind paws and front leg curve. On the shading, blur it. I'm glad you have a determined attitude; we need that! --Bramble My Realm 14:59, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

(M) - If you're having toruble with the shading, try putting the hardness on your brush to zero - it'll automatically blur! Mosswhisker and Steatlhfire 19:09, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Or you could use the blur tool, depending on the program ^^. The blur tool is my best friend when it comes to art.-- Darkhallows  Lair 17:49, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

K-K. I added the extra shading, and blurred my current shading. It still looks....what's the word for it? Ahhhh, I'll just say, "unproffesional". =) I'm wondering, would the smudge tool work for this? That's the tool I use a lot on my images. Darkhallows' best friend may be the blur tool....but, mine is whole-heartedly the amazing smudge tool! Oh, and, by the way, M&S, I don't know how to alter the brush hardness on Pixlr. I tried seeing if it was the "opacity", or....I forget the word. It was a long word. =P But, it wasn't it. Do you know how, by chance? Oh, and good luck becoming a senior warrior, M&S! You certainly have the potential to be one. --HoneyfurBob's Your Uncle! 21:51, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

(M) - Aww, thanks! *nuzzels you* For brush hardness, click the little down arrow where you change brush size. A box will pop up. You'll see options above the gray line that say things like shape, radie, ect. Go the where it says hardness, then drag the arrow to the left until the box after it reads zero. The picture of your brush should be very blurry. Also, try a brush size 9 or higher for your shading. Hope that helps! ;) Mosswhisker &Steatlhfire 22:12, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I separated it out into different sections. The ear colour is still a bit dodgy, play around with it a bit. Also, (I remember when this was up before it was declined) the colouring technique you have done him in is now more used for mottled cats. I would sayto make him a solid colour, butt before you do, maybe you should gather Sandy's or Bramble's opinions on this (or another senior warrior's, or just someone else's in general actually =D ). I think that the shading is good, you have a good style. -- Dawnfeather  talk! 23:22, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
