Ravenpaw ~ Withdrawn by User

Did I spell the title right? Anyway, I tryed Ravenpaw once, but I withdrew him. Now, I'm trying again. And I did do Brightheart as an apprentice, but my stupid computer at her up!!!! UGHHH!!! For now, what do you guys think of ravenpaw? --MUMBLE785 16:54, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Looks great, but I can barely see the back shading.--Warrior♥Warrior's Palace 17:37, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

kk. I'll fix it.

I think he needs to be a bit lighter so we can see the shading better, but not too much, as he is black. The wite patch needs to be bigger. -- Dawnfeather  22:45, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and Ravenpaw has yellow eyes, not green eyes.--Warrior♥Warrior's Palace 17:03, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

I think he/she (too lazy to look up Mintfur's gender) looks amazing! I love him/her! Only think that catches my eye is that the tabby stripes need blended in some parts. And make the ear pink a little wider. -- Goldencloud  00:16, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah.. I think the stripes are blended now, are they? The ear is fixed too, I think. Oh, and Mintfur is a he ^^.-- Darkhallows  Lair 01:04, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I think the end of the tail needs to be blended more to make the colour transition more natural and the tip of the ear needs blending in too.  Sandy Talk! 09:04, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Blended more. -- Darkhallows  Lair 09:23, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

I made it quickly, it's not that good, but it's just an idea. I'm sorry if someone made on already, I checked and here was none. You could color in the star with a color for the clan, like red for thunderclan, blur for riverclan, green for windclan, and black for shadowclan. It's just an idea. --Snowflurry 19:01, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Snowflurry

One problem. The background is black, but the star is a great idea! Lavastream, SunsetClan's Medicine Cat! 19:22, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I didn't know how to make it white...--Snowflurry 19:24, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Snowflurry

Declined. First off, you saved the wrong blank, it's too small. Second, the background is black. Third, we can't modify the warrior balnk for all of them! I suggest only modifying it for the deputy and medicine cats. If you want another go, first use the large scale base, as if ti's this tiny it can't be accepted. --

Birchfall- Withdrawn

Okay, I'm really nervous about putting up art. You guys are a little intimidating. Here's my Birchfall. The changes are taking some time to come up, so the version you see might not be the most recent.

Dawnfeather, being my unofficial mentor, talked to me about it already. Hope this looks good to you! -Sparrowwing talk

More shading, and it might help to make it a little more brown.Sandwich989 16:47, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree. He looks like for of an olive green color than brown. Also it doesn't look like he has any eye color. I like this, though! ---- Goldencloud  17:12, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey Sparrow, welcome to project charart! There's no need to be intimidated; the point of this is to make art, give advise to other users on how to improve their art and to have fun whilst adding to the character pages :) I personally agree with the comments Sandwich and Goldencloud have made and would like to add that blending the ear pink and shading into the pelt more will give it a more realistic look. It might help to remove the tabby markings whilst you get the shading and colour right, then add them on again - that's how I always attempt tabbies. Good luck :) [ps. please sign with 4 ~s]  Sandy Talk! 18:31, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

REUPLOADED Colored eye, fixed shading. -Sparrowwing talk

You still need to blend the ear pink and I think he needs more shading on the legs and head.  Sandy Talk! 11:28, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

REUPLOADED More shading. -Sparrowwing talk

The tabby markings sort of look like they were done with crayon. You know how a crayon leaves a mark but it's kind of scratchy on the outline and it leaves tiny marks of the background through the markings? Thicken the markings a little so they don't look like crayon and maybe get rid of that mark near his head, just past his eye. --Bramble My Realm 16:08, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

REUPLOADED Thickened stripes, More shading. -Sparrowwing talk

I can't fix my image if no one will tell me what to fix. -Sparrowwing talk

You need to not blur the stripes Sparrow - that's what's making them look so scratchy as the colour is being darkened and lightened in odd places  Sandy Talk! 17:45, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

If you have to, save some of the other approved tabbies to your computer and see how they tabby stripes lie on the pelt, and then make the changes to yours. And yes, I think what Sandy said is probably what's wrong. --Bramble My Realm 02:24, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree with bramble. Aren't tabby marks a pain?-- Darkhallows  Lair 08:53, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Featherwhisker - Withdrawn

Here is Featherwhisker, my first Medicine Cat. He was Spottedleaf's mentor, so he must be awesome! -Sparrowwing talk

He needs a lot more shading and it needs to be blended into the pelt to give a natural look. Also, the ear pink needs blending and is a very bright colour... Also try adding a transition of shades of grene to the herbs as Mal has done with her Cinderpelt.  Sandy Talk! 14:54, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm in agreement with Sandy. TO Do that thin with the herbs, use the burn tool in patches, or maybe the dodge tool. Is pixlr still playing up? If it is, make sure that you give the computer a lot of time in between telling it to do things so it won' get worked up, and hopefully won't crash... -- Dawnfeather  12:49, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Get rid of that little horizontal marking jutting out by the neck; it looks strange. Shading needs to be added on the forehead, ears, and foreleg, and it all needs to be blended thoroughly. Make the ear pink a bit more pinkish, too. --Bramble My Realm 02:24, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

(Just wanted to add that the other way to do the herbs is siply to choose different greens on your colour selector thing)  Sandy Talk! 12:23, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

I still can only see the shading from the top of my screen, and when I can see it it needs to be blended some more. Also, the raindrop marking, instead of having a black line around it, can you just make it a gray marking like part of the pelt? --Bramble My Realm 19:47, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I'll blend the shading more, but I see it fine. I don't know if it's your computers or what, but it looks almost too dark for me. Also, the black is part of the marking, because it says the mark is gray and black. GB57 23:43, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

GB, has it ever occured to you that it might be your computer? If no one else can see the shading unless it's at the top of the screen, I hate to break it to you, but they're probably right! About the black and gray, put the black through it randomly instead of as an outline. Maybe put it slightly lower, in make the shape slightly more raindrop-ish... -- Dawnfeather  06:47, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree with what Dawnfeather said. The marking on the top of the head looks weird, almost like a straight line.--Warrior♥Warrior's Palace 13:13, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Okay, there's no point arguing. I would suggest you make the shading a little bit darker but not too much and then take Bramble/Dawnfeather's advice on the head marking.  Sandy Talk! 08:24, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm really not sure about this one... -- Dawnfeather  02:58, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Her description is pale tabby in all the books, this is more like a cream-colored cat that got some brown sugar spilled on her. :) No offense. I think maybe make some tabby stripes of the same color as the speckles, and maybe add a few speckles in with the stripes on her tail, to authenticate. --Bramble My Realm 03:18, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't like to back down from a challenge like this, but this isn't exactly the best picture I've done. It is a bit of a mess, trying to balance out the speckles and tabby stripes so they are both visible.... -- Dawnfeather  03:21, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually I never added highlights to her, just added lots of shading to the original color. Sorry Mumble you posted that comment while I was working on her so I can't do that now since I redid her all over.
