Hi all! I decided to post this on project talk pages to get a bit more exposure. As some of you might have seen, Skye and I are now the co-head administrators on the wiki, and I'd like to remind everyone of the staff openings. We have quite a few and we need more people to step up and apply, either for chat moderator or rollbacker spots. Have a great day! 04:21, July 2, 2014 (UTC)

For the sptember FA, I'd say we should go with Bettina Kurkoski as that was a suggestion from last time. Thoughts?

To-Do list

Hi all! Currently we have four more year pages to finish, two "chats" (Erin Hunter Answers Your Questions), illustrators, and the facebook pages.

We currently have three illustrators that still need silver status but the issue is there is little information on them from what I can find. What's on those three pages for the authors/illustrators currently is just about as much as possible we can find, or at least what I can find. I don't really want to give them silver status as they are now. So how do we want to move forward? We can merge the three illustrator pages into one, though the problem with that is we'd have to merge all illustrator articles of which some of them are quite good. We can also delete them since there is little information about them.

I'd also like to move onto how we're going to organize the role-play phenomenon. As of now, we have several pages of role-play websites scattered about so what should we do about those? I'm inclined to say that we should coalesce them into one page like we have with the Fanshrines and Fansites.

If I missed any major topics, please bring them up and I encourage everyone to answer all questions in a complete manner. Thanks, Atelda insert vague subtext here 22:59, October 24, 2012 (UTC)

I think you're right about this. I think that maybe the illustrator pages could be merged. For some of the persons articles, I have tried searching more information on them countless times, however, I have never found anything much.

As of the roleplay pages however, I'm not exactly sure, but merging could be useful. Currently ideas are lacking in my head, but indeed I'll comment if I come up with anything. (BTW, sorry about my inactivity lately in PR, due to all the computer stuff going on, but I'll become more active now that everything's fixed)  Stoneclaw 01:34,10/25/2012

I'm in between on leaving the illustrator pages as they are and on merging them, because like 'Teldy said, some are wonderful and at great legnth, while others are stubs. I think we should merge the roleplay pages, as it would make everything more organized, but would adding those into PR mean that once the page or pages are finished would we be able to nominate them or not? x3 -Ducksauce 02:49, October 25, 2012 (UTC)

It's been nearly three months, and we haven't reached a conclusion. I feel as though we're mostly in agreement with merging the roleplay pages, but we're still at a loss with the illustrator pages. Atelda insert vague subtext here 02:41, January 13, 2013 (UTC)

I support both. Only makes sense to merge very related things if they don't have enough information to have their own pages, or all the pages aren't needed. Paleh Send help 04:14, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Except some illustrator's pages are really amazing standing alone as their own page while some just have absolutely no information on them. Atelda insert vague subtext here 16:40, March 31, 2013 (UTC)

How about we do what we have with the Erin Hunter page? Compile a list of all illustrators, have small blurbs on each of them, so it'll cover the illustrators that don't have enough information to stand alone as pages while also allowing the well-done pages to be left alone. Atelda insert vague subtext here 17:25, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

That sounds great. ^ -Ducksauce 04:39, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

That sounds good, Teldy. Shimmer 00:53, 08/12/2013

Bookstores

Hi! I was just thinking, and an idea came up in my head - maybe a page could be made featuring different types of bookstores where you can buy Warriors books. I mean, say if a user came up and wanted to know good places you can purchase warriors books, and I think we should provide that information. Thoughts?  Stoneclaw 16:39,8/11/2013

It would take a lot of work, as they sell Warriors books in other countries besides America, and shops might go in and out of selling warriors. It is a great idea though. Amber The One and Only 17:26, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

I actually really like this idea, we could possibly have sections for different countries, and then subsections for different bookstores, like Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, etc. But I think this is an amazing and great idea, that would help people. -Ducksauce 18:30, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

We could also do a section for the books you can only get on the Internet, like Amazon. Give links as well, to the store's website (if they have one). I think we should do this, imho. But like I said, it will take a lot of time and research XD. Amber The One and Only 18:55, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

This is a brilliant idea, however, there are billions of book stores that may or may not sell Warrior novels. If we were only to list the major book stores, it would seem quite like advertising, and if we were to start a list of the smaller book stores, then it would almost require us to list every single book store that does sell Warrior novels. Also, what information would be listed? It may be noteworthy to have a page about the publisher company HarperCollins, but I'm not too solid on the idea of having a page for book stores. Atelda insert vague subtext here 22:45, August 11, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I think B&N should at least have a mention somewhere, they have their own book that you can only buy on their website or in the store. The page about HarperCollins is also a good idea, and perhaps list like the basic information, and perhaps a minor list of other popular books that are published by them? Who knows? The ideas for that are endless. Jayce(22:59, 8/11/2013)

Thinking about, there would be lots of bookstores and it would be difficult to achieve. A HarperCollins page could work as it is the publisher. And maybe B&N should be mentioned or something, but that could also count as advertising.  Stoneclaw 23:05,8/11/2013

If we make a page just for Barnes and Noble, then that would basically be advertising. It's already mentioned on that page that it's a Barnes and Noble exclusive, and I think it's best to leave it at that. As I see it right now, it's either all of nothing with the book stores; we either list all of them or none of them. Atelda insert vague subtext here 00:39, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Considering the fact that there are lots of reality articles that need to be worked on, and that it would be very difficult to list all the bookstores would be extremely difficult, I've realized that maybe the idea should not be implemented, or maybe set aside for the future. However, I think that maybe there should be a page about HarperCollins. ouo  Stoneclaw 19:53,8/31/2013

I was actually kinda wondering why we never had a page for HC to begin with. I mean, it is' the publisher, and they're the ones who send Vicky on tours. And I actually never said to create a page for them, but perhaps mention them somewhere? An entire page is unnecessary, yes, but a simple paragraph with a brief comment about how they have an exclusive Warriors book could be a good idea? I'm not sure. Jayce(20:48, 9/8/2013)

HarperCollins definitely needs a page. There's enough information and they're an important part of making the series. As for the book stores, I don't think it seems necessary and it wouldn't be helpful as there's no way we'd be able to get every bookstore that sells Warriors. -Rustle it takes a leap of faith4:34 Sat Dec 14 2013

Seeing that most people agree with a Harper Collins page, shall we go with this?  Stoneclaw 20:31,1/2/2014

I'd say that yes, we should go ahead with it. -Ducksauce 22:48, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

It seems a little bit like a lot of work - as there are tons of bookstores out there - some bigger, some smaller. And even the big ones may not sell Warrior Books, so if someone were to go look at a specific store, they may find that their favorite kitty books aren't there. Maybe we should have a warning or something if we go with that idea, but definitely Harper Collins. And if Harper Collins has a list on their site where you're likely to find warrior books then maybe that could be included. Appledash the light of honor 21:26, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

So, FA time. I'm thinking Tui Sutherland or Bettina Kurkoski. Comments?  Stoneclaw 18:16,6/24/2014

I say Tui, to continue with the Erins/people who've worked on the books o3o Queen Beebs 18:36, June 24, 2014 (UTC)

I'd support Bettina, her article is amazing for a minor-ish character, but Tui's page looks really nice, too. -Ducksauce 19:01, June 24, 2014 (UTC)
